The car is looking mean with the 15" rims & tires, and everything is looking super clean. I love when drag cars double as show cars too. Glad to hear it's all up and running. What compression ratio did you go with on the hd2's? A word of advice, watch out when tuning the launch control, you can easily glaze the clutch if the engagement is too slow. I'm admiring the dry sump, sick! Good luck with tuning.

I had the launch control on before I tore it down, but it has a triple in it more do it will have to be readjusted. The pistons were flat tops with big reliefs, compression came to 10.5:1, previous motor was 9.5:1. Thanks for the kind words, working on weight right now and will time it by next weekend I hope.

And its back in business, 3 psi less than when it made 1033 before. We will turn it up more at the track.

Good to see it's all up and running, nice power too! I'm curious to hear how it does at the track. What do you have for cams and valve train? We might need to line our cars up sometime! Shootout?;)

Thanks. Cams are still fp5r/fp11s, valve train are Kiggly's upgraded race beehives shimmed slightly. Always game for a race!

I had my machinist set it up so not sure what shims he used. I would have to pull the sheet but seems like they ended around 140lb on the seat.

Yeah 145/295

Motec going back in now, and swapped in a new master since car pulls almost no vac save some weight and clean things up.

Where can we get some of those "kuggly" beehives? :p

I'm assuming your dyno session was with the Motec ecu? Any insite on the chang over over experience. How easy was it to configure to the sensors, injectors, etc....Did you dial in the 2step, I've heard cars on Motech and the 2 step holds a very tight rpm. Awesome dash too!

Last dyno on the new motor was still on link as I wanted to see what the changes netted without adding the ecu as a factor.

The setup, I have a friend here and sponsor who is very versed in the use of the motec so he looked at my SD table in link and quickly came up with a map and car ran without issues. Setting up sensor is so easy its almost comical. We will have it on the dyno soon doing full power pulls and setting the final tune. I added logging of oil pressure, fuel pressure, backpressure, gonna let the motec control boost pressure and the launch control device as well.

The two step and flat shift we have not setup yet but will be doing it after the tune is done.

Data logging is very powerful and awesome to have. I log backpressure, fuel and oil with my AEM, it wasn't trivial to get it all setup. It's very handy, the back pressure is nice for the dyno, but the wide band o2's per cylinder have saved me twice from melting my motor down due to a partial fuel pump and on a seperate event a partial injector failure. My O2 total feedback compensation only changed by about 3% on the total system, but one cylinder went to 14:1 at readline!

I have been up in the air about individual O2s on the car still may do it but havent decided yet.

Dash is in!

Now just need to wire in the boost controller and put it back on the dyno for the final tune and we should be ready for some track testing finally........two years later!
