So I been having this issue with water coming in through my eclipse in the trunk it builds up to like 2 inches on the bottom of the trunk where the apiary tire would be. Also my carpet is always soaked. Everytime I washed my car water returned to trunk but drain plugs worked now that fixed them. Which isn't a problem anymore but what's a permanent fix? Also I don't know where the water from the carpet is coming from I always ignore it but I want to fix it . Could it be through my body kit? I have a side skirt on one side the passanger doesn't and there are holes exposed for the clips for the skirt . Idk

Check your seals around your hatch, and also the drains. it could be backed up and allowing water to pool and flow into your hatch.

Where is your carpet getting wet? I have a similiar issue. I cleared the hatch drains and I still get water leaking into rear hatch area and always seems like there a puddle on passanger carpet as if the heater core is leaking. I thought I had it fixed but then it started again so Im looking for solutions

All over my carpet is getting wet . I would think more I the passanger side . I gonna check what's up with it right now. Haven't bothered to look for 2 weeks

The spray nozzle up top for the rear windshield washer usually just snaps in there, if it's not got the rubber grommet, then ya know.
Also if you don't have rubber's between the trunk and spoiler, where the bolts are, you will have leaks there too!

One other culprit often overlooked with water in the lower hatch are is the seal behind the tail lights. Each light has a seal that mounts between the body and the light assembly. This would not usually leak onto carpet, but down the trunk plastic panels.

I'm gonna check that. As for my carpet there is to much water for it to b coming from the heater or windshield tube.

do you have a sun roof? Mine leaks in the middle so mine was usually wet. till i tore the carpet out and kept the drain plugs out.

I know this will sounds strange but Ive thought about tearing out the carpet and spraying on bed liner. My dad did it to his jeep(yes i known completely different). It would make cleaning it so much easier and wont have to work about stains, mold, or tears. Just something Ive been thinking about for awhile now. Id keep the plastic just remove carpet and spray where carpet laid. Thoughts?

Oneside of the tail light had a couple small splashes of water from the inside but it didn't look like enough for it to fill like 2 inches for the bottom. Also this guy I talked to tol me about some drain holes could be clogged from te sunroof . Hell your idea with spraying it sound good to haha

Pull the plastic panel off the inside of the hatch and fold your rear seats down, Lay down a sheet of stuffing paper or something you can see a drop of water on. Hop in and take a seat, have a buddy close the hatch, and douse the car with water, get her all wet and find your leak!

Anything that seals and is tall enough, Rubber seals, RTV, O rings, ect. I used rubber strips I snipped to fit, just be careful of gaps trapping water under the spoiler causing rust and paint wear.

aww man i got some pictures for yall haha so much water in my carpet
