Hahahahahaha awesome. I love how him and his buddy singled you out and you completely kicked his ass. Reminds me of my fun times at the track doing the same thing with a measly 16G setup.

I've ran into a few of your videos on YouTube already for some issues yet never did I expect this build wow is all I can so very detailed and very well done you have already do e a lot of what I plan to do and this gives guys like me a great start and a good base line as well! Great job man

Thanks for all of the compliments. I am glad that some of this is helpful/useful. I have done my best to link the build thread and channel together as it really covers the entire period of time that I have owned the car. More to come soon.

Here is the second and final pass from the night. It was a really close race and the best way the night could have ended.

Awesome build and doesn't hurt watching all those cars getting smoked by a little sleeper :thumb:

@jamel16, I am pretty sure I either bought or sold you a fuel pump hanger a few years back? We met over by the Hooters in Chester if I recall correctly. Could be mistaken :hmm:

Anyway, I got my fuel from the Bellwood station (must have DOD ID) but there is a MAPCO (station number #4065) in Chester that should sell it.

Thanks for the compliment @91AwdBigRed.

After making just two passes on our new drag radials, the track closed up for the night leaving me with little seat time and the need to test more variables.

I headed back to the track the following night to make some more shakedown passes. My goas was to get a better feel for the radials and the settings they respond to the best. To my surprise, the track was empty!

I ended up making my last pass of the season on the back of that tow truck.
Stay tuned for a winter tear down and many more projects to come.

Happy Boosting

Thank you to those of you who have rated my vehicle profile. It is now the top rated 1G DSM profile on DSMtuners. :applause::D:thumb:

Its that time where car enthusiasts start to tear down there motors for the winter. If this is you, this video will show you how to properly care for your injectors so that the ferrous metal parts inside your injectors do not rust/corrode causing you issues and money next season. View the description over on youtube for further clarification on what I used to make my fuel injector cleaner.

The car is finally at its final resting place so its time to find out just what we broke during that last pass.

I was glad that the disk is what took the hit on this one. The only bad part is it may have took the flywheel out as collateral damage. There are a few pretty bad patches but hopefully they will clean up at the machine shop.

Most of that video took place at 16x. It was probably 2 hours of video but setting up the camera, dead camera batteries, changing SD cards and other odds and ends probably made this a 3 to 3.5 hour job.

It was not my first or second time doing this so I have a good handle on this. Another thing that really helps is the fact that everything was nicely coated in anti-seize.

I just purchased an actual cam corder so hopefully that solves to of the battery issues and other problems I have been having with my recording equipment.

As for the next clutch setup, I am still contemplating what that may be. If I stay with a single disk, I will run a southbend setup on the ACT streetlight flywheel.

There is a better explanation of future plans in the description of the video.

Its time to pull the heart out and give the motor a good once over. Along the way, we will lay out some of the plans for this winter.

Enjoy

Wow just wanted to say if I didn't have to be up early I would be reading the whole thing tonight following this thread for sure! Awesome build man

Thanks for the compliment. Don’t try to do it all in one sitting. ROFL It took me more than 4 years to write all this down so its a little much. Glad you find it useful and there is a lot more to come.

Here is a sneak peak about the next couple of videos in the pipeline. Picked up some new lighting, a new camera and some new tools to play with.

Don’t freak out and think I already put the motor back together, I checked the cams when I tore it apart but more on that in the video.

Running about 4 videos behind at the moment but I am trying to catch up. There is only so much time in a day but we will get there.

Not really sure. Maybe because I removed all the heat and AC components? This part has been covered up for 24 years protected by the dash from everything but dust so I expected it to be in decent shape.
