Hey what's up guys so I've been searching this for a while now and haven't found any post as far as where and how to attach the engine leveler to my engine i will be pulling a 420a motor out of an rs any insight would help pics if possible thank you
 
Looking at the engine bay there is one to the right of the exhaust manifold and then on the left by the intake manifold above the alternator.
 
Hey guys this is a off topic question but how the hell do i get the crank out of the block its striped down except the crank oil pumps off all caps are loose it looks like the block splits in two do i just pry up im not trying to break anything
 
The 420a has a main girdle instead of caps. There are several bolts on the outside of the oil pan and one hiding under the oil filter housing. There are also a couple on the inside of the block. Once all the bolts are loose/off take a rubber mallet and gently tap it off.
 
okay question where the flywheel mounts does anything else have to be removed
 
the reason why the girdle wont move is because there is a sealer, like rtv, all away around the middle of it between the block and the girdle. i have better luck removing the girdle with a deadblow hammer (plastic one of course). i have a build video were i have to remove the girdle to check oil clearances for the mains. here's a link if your interested:

does anybody know why there would be notches on my left side of my crankshaft cap but then there are notches on the right side of my other crankshaft cap its the same 420a motor but the cap notches are different
