I plan to pull my motor and to a slight tuck of sorts over the winter, what I have planned for the bay:
-battery relocation to hatch
-move fusebox against firewall
-hide coolant overflow
-figure out IC piping to go under intake to IC
-remove deleted accessories from harness
-hide lines for boost controller
-polish up any metal
-etc

Pretty general, I know. Hopefully I will get around to painting the bay, too.

Certainly not a bad idea. Going through the wiring can save you a headache later on down the road as well. So not only pretty, but functional as well. There are many many ways to go about it. You can do the full tilt boogey and remove the dash, both fenders and tuck everything like a pro, or you can do a "half tuck" and just pretty things up by extending some wires, shortening others and wrapping everything in powerbraid(iirc thats what its called).

Im going to do something similar to ^^^. Just clean the bay up and try and hide some wires. Alreay did the battery relocate and engine is out so might as well.

i was planning on doing the same thing, but how do you know what accessories youll be deleting from the harness?

It's easy what you don't use or need cut it or hide it, you need to tag and have full knowledge of what plug is what also keep in mind that there are to wire harness in the bay the sensor harness and the electrical harness.
Check this out is half tuck most wires and sensor are behind the IM. I'm still doing the vacuum lines.

very nice, im on my 4th dsm but not 100% comfortable tackling a task this big with out any knowledge on wireing :idontknow:

I've always liked the look of a clean engine bay. I'm looking to do it myself soon with a fusebox and battery relocate to the trunk.

it depends on you, if you want to tuck your wiring and delete some parts, check out chasebays.com best site of all and will have everything you need. I think you should tuck them. so its more cleaner and proper.

+1 for tucking the harness. easier than you think. Read reviews on the company recommended above ^^^ first

Avoid Chasebays, they are over priced like whoa and don't have a good rep anymore. I bought their firewall connector kit for over $300 and I could of bought it from Mouser for less then half that.

Depin wires, don't cut them and work one wire at a time. A factory service manual helps loads. Check out my build, how tos on here and my videos on youtube, I've posted lots of info.

just as a possibility, you can delete a/c and power steering and move the alternator to the back where the a/c compressor was. if you delete power steering make sure you swap a manual rack in or loop the fluid in power steering rack. but relocate battery and fuse box, if its a 420a, relocate the ecu inside the car. remove cruise and run the non cruise cable
