We have been in business for about 15 years and build 800 hp hondas, 1300 supras, 1200 hp ls1's and worked on quite a few dsm's back in the day but never built one for ourselves. Been about 6 or 7 years since we built a 4 cyl car and the bug bit again while our new lsx ride is in the works.

Picked up a 91 eclipse gsx auto for $2200 with 100k on it and pretty much stock. It was tuck in 3rd (limp mode), so we put in a shift box and viola all 4 gears and it drives ok. Going to take out all the unnecessary stuff in the car and shoot for mid 140 traps at 2600 ish lbs and 9 sec et's.

We should be in Houston right now at tx2k14 but our 66 nova lsx blower project broke the trans on the dyno Monday and took out the driveshaft and exhaust on the way out :(

Welcome! :) Sounds like a nice plan for the Eclipse. Good luck and keep us posted on the progress. Maybe even start a build thread for it! ;)

Thanks for the welcome, we get pretty busy and forget to take pics a lot of builds we do LOL, I will start a build thread once we get rolling on it a bit more. :thumb:

welcome sorry to hear about your nova, hope to see big things from you guys!

Man with what you guys have modified you will find very quickly that the dsm plateform is the best bang for the buck when it comes to dollars/whp! Welcome to the community!;) I eat mustangs for appitizers and vetts for lunch and I am still working on dinner because my upgrades are not finished yet, you catch my drift!!

Will start a build thread soon. Got the AEM V2 and put a quick tune on the 91 gsx auto on E85 and 13 psi. It was out of fuel but not lean enough to worry about. Went to the track and went 15.0@90 mph DA was 6700 today. Stock 91 auto gsx on E85 and AEM. Shift box worked great and the car did pretty well for a 100k stock car. The 93 chassis is getting weight pulled every time we get a chance to work on it, waiting on trans parts from Metro, converter is off to Bradco, Waiting on parts from Vassil/Bulfab, looking for a tubular front/rear subframes (seems no one is making them, and we definitely don't have time to right now), Looking for a drivers side lower skirt/valance from a 91 gsx (swapping the 1GA body kit to the 1GB, I think it looks much better, basically making a 93 1GA Eclipse out of the talon, except for headlights/front bumper cover). It's been awhile since we built a 4 cyl car for ourselves and having a blast with the DSM, it has a long way to go to see 9"s but it reminds me of my 1994 700 hp Integra I built back in 04, I am having a blast with the build so far.

Small update, repainted the car, Bradco built the converter, Metro helped trouble shoot some trans stuff, Kiggly helped with some of the nitrous setup, after some seat time and some tuning time on the street she is running strong for the last few months. Have seen 42 psi on the 6266 on accident and she stayed together, raced her at 38 psi a few times (1/8 mile only) and been romping pretty much everything locally on the street 1/8 mile. New block and head are getting machined so we can turn her up a bit more and keep her together. Here is a short clip against the trash can (another shop build) twin turbo 5.3l car. More vids to come.

I dunno if you're still looking for this, but True Street Tuning is building tubular subframes for 1Gs for about $1000. https://www.facebook.com/TrueStreetTuning That's their FB page. They're still being tested and made sure everything is safe, but I've seen his fabwork in person and it's top notch. I'll be buying his tubular subframe for my 2G as well as getting him to make me a divided T3 manifold. I love the 1G build though. More motivation to get my 2G up and running.

so what are you going with, dsmlink or evo 8 ecu? i have the latter for sell if your interested.

I love that auto dsm. I watched those videos before finding this thread. I couldnt believe how fast that thing takes flight. Anyway you could link where the ebay turbo came from. I found one that claims gt35 internals just a no name compessor housing for 700$

The rest of this summers races, ended the season on a 6266, stock motor is still going strong, but the 16 gauge manifold we built isn't loving life so much, re-weleded it 3-4 times this winter and it cracked on the last run against the Gt500 and only made 22 psi, oh well the new motor is almost ready from our machine shop, need to build a schedule 40 manifold and drop the 6466 on and get to woopin on the DSM.
