The track would be the true test for reliability.

Well just let me say this I never built the car to be a drag car I built it to be the ultimate street machine, with a 2000 watt sound system, and it gets driven daily in fact I drove the car 4hrs yesterday to Alabama and 4hrs back home. Was able to manage 312miles before filling up again:D. I have made several attempts to enter the 1/2 mile event here in Atlanta but can't get a spot maybe this year blake will let me in I want to make a statement for sure. Reliability to me is how the car has held up under constant pulls as noted in the video and is still giving no signs of any issues. I frequent little Talladega very often , five laps of abuse and reaching speed in excess of 185mph on the back stretch is enough for me. Let me restate what I stated in an above post over a year of abuse at these power levels and still going strong if that is not enough proof of reliability then so be it:idontknow: enjoy the video I went north of 185mph in this pull at little Talladega I wish the camera had not fallen off the pod:cool:. This car has been the most fun and enjoyable project I have ever owned I am very proud of what has been accomplished with it for sure! Took cleanest Mitsubishi in a recent car show:D

No need to get defensive and explain anything. That wasn't really directed towards you anyways.

To say a few dyno pulls is a gauge of reliably is not even close to right. I said track as a loose term. Road course, drag strip, 1/2 mile, or even a bunch of street pulls will kill things way faster than any dyno. You sure can't monitor things like you can on a dyno.

Obviously your doing something right since the car is still in one piece and you have a this thread to share with us.

I appreciate the kind words my friend:thumb: None of us know really if we are doing anything right until we do it and it works right? Anyway yeah I put much thought into everything I do to the car and sometime my thoughts go really deep and to most seems out of the box , but in the end it seems to work and that's all that matters to me :p This site is wonderful and without dsmtuners most of us would be lost and I hope it stay around for a while;)I am not finished so stay tuned for more of the keltalon craziness and record breaking results LOL

Remember he's doing these dyno pulls, and not a few pulls as you say, at 40psi constantly and then driving home each time without the car breaking down on the dyno or road. Then later, days and hours are spent beating the heck out of the car trying to get the best tune!!!!
So what else more is kels supposed to do to not have the reliablity of the car questioned or even thought of?
40psi is a hell of alot of boost for a four cylinder motor to deal with in succession on a dyno. Again 40psi!!! Street car!!! And then driven hard and tuned daily! Many cars would have blown up anywhere north of 25psi.

To me all the posts about the car and Kels transparency on all hes done and doing to it speaks volumes about the realabilty and how this car was built from motor to tranny. All for our benefit here on the forums.

yes that is what makes me a fan boy of this car!!

Kel understood it and agreed. That's what matters. I guess his huge nuts are still blocking the logical view here.

A dyno is not a test of reliability compared to the street or any track.

Congrats man! I dont think you understand how excited i am to order my 6466 after seeing this on your 6266You on the jmf street and 276's? What brand pistons did you swap to? And only 40psi too, there are guys making less hp on more boost it's crazy.

Logic!!! smh!! I did say street and Dyno!! I guess his huge nuts (as you say) are blocking your reading comprehension!

Not a commentt you'd think a so Called "wise man" would make!

Thats some crazy fuel mileage. I can only get about 300ish or so, but my car is AWD, and as far as i remember they have a smaller tank. Cant wait to see it with the clutch slipping resolved!
That's

I am still using cp. Yeah that 6466 is a beast.

So you are running a 450 intake and 255 inline. What size feed and return.

yeah walbro 450 intank and 255hp inline -6 from the tank to the fuel rail. the return line is stock this set up has no issues.

Surprising. Good to know.
Yeah its very logical I figured that since both pumps wasn't overrunning the fuel Pressure regulator at idle that at wot the car would be okay considering that it would be using 90% of the fuel delivered and returning 10% back to the tank stock fuel line would be just dandy.

Do you think you really needed the inline 255? I was thinking 044 if i needed anothwr one but the 450 is suposibly good for 800, by itself
Yes its was necessary its not the regular 255 its the ws392 high pressure this was recommended by twick.

i have a toyota supra fuel pump rewired with a regulator and at idle my fuel trim low goes to -12 . so i don't know if your fuel pump is rewired but after rewiring mine i started having this problem . it did get a little better after changing the rubber hose to a 5/16 that goes from the regulator to the return line . i also would like to know what are your egt by red line .

Oh. I deleted it. Just the way u worded rewired with a regulator, I thought you were trying some type of staged setup. Then I figured out u were just talking about tour fpr

I guess I wasn't clear in my above post. the addition of the second pump did raise my fuel pressure but the pressure was brought back within specs with my adjustable fuel pressure regulator at idle. Now if the adjustable fuel pressure regulator was able to bring the pressure down then this ment that the 2 pump was now flowing more gas than the stock fuel line could return to the tank and therefore the line would have to be upgraded to a bigger line but in my case the stock line proved to be sufficient for the task therefore I let it be.
