I'm in the need of assistance. I have the maft with translator. No matter how I set the settings the car runs lean. I just bought a new AEM wideband. My maft has the 2.02 software I've set the settings where they need to be and I start the car, it just dies....Over tried it the old version and nothing. The only way it get it close to 14.7 is the base is set at 2 and idle at 5,which seems crazy.

272's
550cc's
Fpr set at 37psi
14B

Never will be run on the proper settings like said the manual, always you have to change the knobs, let me find my old configuration of maft GEN I, because now I'm using the MAFT GEN II.

Hmm I'm running 550's on a walbro 255 and I have my base set at 4, and my Idle: 0, dial setting C would be for 1100 size injectors thus leaning things out on 550's. This is on the older version though. Setting your base at 2 would be richening things according to the MAFT table by 10% over setting 4. Then idle setting 5 would also be richening it by an additional 25%, again according to the MAFT tables. So if anything i would think your idle would be too rich not too lean.. very odd.

So you basically have to push the settings richer than what you should to get a 14.7. Almost makes me think you have some Vacuum leaks in the intake some where behind the MAF sensor, leaning things out. Throttle body shaft seals? TB gaskets? Any vac lines running to the TB? Intake manifold Vac lines or gasket? Fuel injector O-rings? Just some possibilities to check on.
