2G PLX DM6 install questions

So i just got my plx dm-6 gen 4 wideband combo and will be running a narrowband simulation with link but had some questions.

1. how many have put the wide band in the stock o2 location without problems.
2. when tapping into the o2 pin for the ecu can i just pull the wire back or do i need to cut it and splice.
3. wheres a good place to run the wire from the wide band to the module inside the car
4. where should i pull power from.
5. when using a narrow band simulation i only need to use the wideband input correct.
6. when using a resistor for the o2 heater wheres a good location to put it.

ive searched and coulndt find direct questions to my particular answers
 
I have mine in the front 02 spot, no issues. If you're worried about heat, you can make a copper heatsink really easily. That's what I did. http://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/innovatelc1orlm1install I used these sheets: http://amzn.to/1HFqTio

2. You don't need to cut the wire if you can pull the sheathing back enough.

3. Make a small X cut in the rubber boot around the steering column on the firewall and run it through there.

4. Any 12v source. Try finding the wire to the cigarette lighter, that's always a good one.

5. Correct. Wire the 5v output of the wideband to the front o2 pin on the ecu (pin 4 on 1g). Enable narrowband simulation in link, then set the switch point to 2.35 according to this:

I don't know about number 6.

thanks did you throw a code from not having a o2 heater?
 
I have my lc2 in that spot and it works great and very accurate, I didn't even use the heat sink either.

The 12v source I chose was the cig. lighter as I don't ever use it. I chose to splice for narrowband simulation (solder splice). I did not wire in a resistor for the heater wire.

which plx did you get, il wire mine up through my cig lighter to since i dont smoke. is the steering boot the only place big enough for the o2 conector
 
The resistor was used for old PLX devices. My old m300 used that if wiring into the ECU. The new style (SM-AFR) wires into the the receiver (red box). I do not believe there was any mention of a resistor with the newer AFR setups.
 
Hello, did you ever figure out about the resistor? I have a 2G and the plx device. Put it in my stock front o2 location. Hooked it up as a wideband from the red box to pin 76 (front o2 wire on ECU) and simulated narrow band in ECM link. I now have the po135 code for the heater circuit . And can't find anything on it.
