Ya bro it's super easy! I did mine with parts I had laying around! I got a 2g maf and harness I can sell you or if you don't want to hardwire they have a plug and play harness.

As long as you stay off boost, I'm sure you wont have a problem. Personally I have a FP cast pipe as well and def recommend it.
Stay on top of the classifieds on here and link forums to score a deal on a pipe setup.

This is what it says under the fp pipe... it sounds like if i have the 1g setup im out of luck..

"This pipe can also be used for 1G applications where no MAF or MAS is used, instead simply fit the 4" diameter air filter directly to the air tube inlet. Unfortunately there is not enough room between the turbo and the fenderwell in the 1G to fit a MAS and a filter, so no soup for guys without VPC or stand alone."

It actually looks like a nice piece, but those couplers are def home depo specials identical.
I'd definitely buy one if it were from a reputable vender, I dont like the FP ones because they're cast and look bad IMO plus the roughness in the inside along with the weight of it.
