Got a 99 GSX, that I want to add a manual boost controller and boost guage.. What do you guys recommend? Guess Im probably looking for the least expensive controller and guage that are legit and actaully do what they are supposed to.. I dont want junk, but the cheapest GOOD units that work well, if that makes any sense... :hellyeah:

NXS motorsports got a new manual controller that came out. I never tried one though, my buddy has one, seems okay.
As for boost gauge. If autozone has one and the least price one works just as well.

Halman pro rx work great. One of the more popular to use. Boost gauges usually is just personal preference most work fine

Dont throw away money on a overpriced hallman pro. Go to nxsmotorsports.com. They sell a bsic manual boost controller for 20$ shipped...AND it has a lifetime warrenty. Your paying for a name with anything else. Honestly, Ive owned both and I am very pleased with the nxs.

There are sooo many threads on this. Do your research, there are many out there. A GREAT one is the NSX boost controller, cheap and has a life time warranty, can't beat that!

Awesome. Thanks... Someone said get a wideband gauge i heard.. i will check out the NXS mbc

I like to have a peak and hold gauge. Especially when upping the boost

As for gauges AEM has never let me down, but quite pricey....and very easy so install! Cheaper gauges will just give you a huge headache with all excessive wires and such. NXS has a lifetime warranty and that's quite unbeatable

I've ran the cheap boost gauges and controllers and although they work fine, I hated looking at them. I use a Hallman pro mbc now because it looks and feels quality, and I like being able to just turn it without that locknut design. As for gauges I'm using AEM for pretty much everything. They have such a clean install over a cheap one with loose wires hanging around.
