Welp the winter has finally arrived and I have set the gst away and in preparation to get it ready in 6 months for the next season.
Now I'm putting this post here because I do need some help and I KNOW it's been BEATEN TO DEATH, but I find searching posts that were dated almost 6-11 years ago hard to work with cause new tech comes out that sort of disproves those post (sometimes).
As some know I'm running a current set up of.
Dsmlink v3 w/SD&nBsim
880 Pte inj.
Pretty much everything else is stock besides aftermarket exhaust system w/ downpipe &fuel system (6an fuel line)&and Cx Intercooler and mishimoto radiator.
Now I've spent the cash and have built a ported & polished head with kelfords 272's and gsc springs and retainers. This head won't be put on till the right time (that and after it is machined).
Now I traveled around town and got me a short block, so now I have intentions of building a bottom end, now I'm not smart, believe me, I'm an idiot. I don't know very much. I have my friends who guide me and have kept me on the right path, but we all can't seem to agree on what I should start to get piston/rod wise.
Now I'm not on a budget, I will get the parts even if they are...expensive just might take me awhile.
My goal is at least 800hp (for now) this car is not a street build. It's track and weekend (car meets) only build.
So we start with this, I plan on getting this block cleaned, machined and overbored (20 overbore) I want high revving motor I.e 9k-95k. It's just the pistons/rods I can't seem to come to agreement on. I've been tossed 10 combinations fro different manufactures. Eagle/Ross Ross/Wiseco GRP/Wiseco etc. I can give you all a few more but I'm sure y'all know what they would be as they seem pretty standard.
like I said I'm not at a budget, I got the goal in mind I'm set and I'm going to reach it, but I would like to get some combinations from ya'll maybe I can come to a resounding conclusion to what I can get.
I will be upgrading to a bigger turbo and exhaust manifold system but for right now I need to keep a straight mindset on this block.
So tell me what Is the right Piston/Rods Combo to hold the hp goal I need! Any and all input is great!
