17x9.25 is possible i believe depending on the tire size and depending on what year front knuckles you have but do a search to verify. I know someone pulled off running 17x10's with some modification. I have the exact wheel you are wanting on my car currently but mine are 18x8.75.. i'd recommend going 18's maybe even 19's with a skinny sidewall imo it's the only way those wheels will look good.

I had some fender rub on big bumps lowered about 1.9inches all around.. had to roll the fronts.

Hope this helps.

I've never heard of any differences in the front knuckles but do know the rear 2ga 95-96 knuckles have less tire clearance than the 2gb. How much tire clearance do you have oneslow to your knuckles? btw like the pics. Those look good.

I'm running evo wheels 17 x 8 +35 with 235/45/17 and lowered almost 2" with no issues. Well I did roll the rear fender lip. I have about 3/8" of knuckle clearance in the back with my 2ga knuckles and almost 1/2" in the front. My tires are well used so with new tires I have even less clearance to the tread. For me trying to run wheels 9.25 +35 wouldn't work. They would stick in towards the knuckle 5/8" more than my evo wheels and stick out 5/8" more.

Can it be done? Sure spacers, extended studs, stretched tires, etc but none of those I like to do. Spacers change your offset and put more load on your hub bearings. Many claim that +25 is about the limit for our cars if you want your hub bearings to last a reasonable amount of time.

Any pics on the progress? Would like to see how this turned out.
