Working on finishing up my head liner I started wrapping 4 months ago....
If you work in the oil sands and have a project car...you're gonna have a bad time.
Lots of money to spend on the damn thing but no time to do anything.

Built a mount for my AEM Twin Fire box, needs some welding to finish it off. Also finished the wiring for the CDI.
Headliner is back in.
Did a bit of wiring work and started making the mounts for my BMW LED fogs.

worked on wiring installed intake working on body work of the hood and knocking some dents down and prep to bondo sand and paint and clear, got stuff from powder coated went to TRE to check on transmission.
Looks like its coming alone!

Any pics of the fogs? Was toying with the idea of using some universal LED fogs since 2gb Talon ones are $$$$$

These are from a newer X5, I bought them from The Retrofit Source. I mount mounting them on the outer opening of the 2Gb Talon bumper.
I'll get a picture tomorrow.[DOUBLEPOST=1415660962][/DOUBLEPOST]Here's the fogs I've got - http://www.theretrofitsource.com/closeouts/bmw-x5-oem-led-fog-lights.html

Here they are mounted in my car.

bah. I was hoping for something close to oem. How is my oil cooler going to get any airflow? :)

Sanded and put another coat of epoxy on the door inserts. Overlays were infact created by Satan himself. I really think it would be easier to make a mold and make a real CF part. Anyway... getting there. Roof got another layer of CF since I got a bit overzealous with the random orbit sander :)

Ducting! I still need to work on that.
I might pick up a new oil cooler with a fan built in and use this one for my power steering cooler.

I need to get more room on the passenger side because my battery, trans cooler and fog light are there, it's tight!

Do like the "Dreams do come true" article title in the picture. It's like a sign that everything will be ok in the end :)

Back on topic: cursed at the disassembled car hauler trailer that was going to bring Mitsie to her new home.

Broke apart sun visors. Literally :p
I see how the inner retaining pin goes in during assembly, but I don't think it's ever supposed to be disassembled.

Cut new black vinyl to recover them.

Did some JBweld repairs to sun visors & door trim.

2 more coats of epoxy on headliner. Ready to sand/polish once it's fully cured.

Reinstalled headliner. hmm... that reminds me. Remove that tint before attempting to drive this car. :)

After a bunch of years of the car sitting around either on jackstands or on the street, I finally found the motivation and a little bit of spare time to start working on it again.. Over the past week, Ive pulled the motor out and tore it down, and dropped in the 6 bolt that I've had for it for years. I just need to finish bolting up a few last parts, fill fluids and hope for the best.

The stock 7 bolt spun a rod bearing a long while back, but the combination of constant deployments, life, kids, priorities and space stopped me from ever tackling it.

Oh well, it's been nearly 8 years since it last saw the road... what's a few more weeks?

Picked up some very low mileage X-ice2's for the ESi, or TSi if it ever gets finished.

Started reassembling doors. Dunno how the PO broke so many of the studs on the passenger door card. Glued it back together with urethane and clamped it till it cures.

Started to pull my motor and trans out, going auto :hellyeah:. While I change the pumps on the motor I'm going. To attempt to remove all that's not needed in the harness and in the bay. Any ideas? Guides? S.o.S LOL
