Whats up guys, having an intermediate problem. It seems when im WOT I have oil that comes out. It looks to be coming on the upper right stud by the timing belt. Im a bit confused, as I thought the center right one was the only one that goes into a oil Gallery. Perhaps its somewhere else by the timing belt side. But seems to be at the manifold spot the most. No smoke, or anything of the sort. But enough oil for me to smell it after going WOT. This is a 2g GSX. Any ideas, on what could be going on would be appreciated.

Is ur spark plug Valley getting oil to? If so there is a atmospheric vent the small hole on the front of the valve cover directly above the ps pump the is another one on the inside of the spark plug valley. The have a tendency to push oil at high boost. I installed a catch can and plugged these two holes up with metric set screws no more oil and if I ever need to go back. Just remove the screws

Kevin, I havent tested the PCV as I Havent seen excessive oil come from it. Perhaps I should do that. Ill look at the holes today, grabbing some brske cleaner. Gunna hose down the area, and do a pull. See if I cant spot the locatio,ln.

That hole on the front is drain, it doesn't vent from inside the valve cover. The hole on the front connects to the hole under the spark plug cover on top of the valve cover. Its there to drain water or oil if its pooled up on top. If your leaking oil out of the front hole its because there is a leak somewhere else like the oil cap or a crack in the valve cover and its pooling up on top and draining out the hole in front.

You sir, hit the nail on the head. I currently dont have the funds for a catch can. Im also a little skeptical of sealing them as I figure Mitsu put them there for a reason, is this something thats normally done?[DOUBLEPOST=1416166820][/DOUBLEPOST]

Ill check now, for leaks! Report back in about 20.

The reason they are there is for some place extra pressure can go in the event of a pcv failure. Really there are too small to allow pressure to vent from. And only thing they do is make a mess of the engine bay. Plugging them off will no effect anything that isn't already effected by the amount of pc pressure too much and u will blow seals how is ur pvc system at this point? Stock valve in place? Are u running a atmospheric vent ? Or plumbing back into the intake pipe[DOUBLEPOST=1416173563][/DOUBLEPOST]Mine have developed a small crank in side the vc assy. This was the source of my issues

They are not vents, its a drain, the 2 little holes just connect to each other. If anything is venting out of there its because the valve cover is cracked. If they are making a mess and of your engine bay than you have a cracked valve cover or leaks elsewhere that need to be addressed, pluging the holes isn't correct way to fix the problem.
