Finally, my brother-in-law gave the 90 GSX up after 5 years of it sitting. His father used to go and start it once a week, but that was at least three years ago. I gathered up some common tools and a jump box and headed down to see what the car would even do. I put some mystery oil in the cylinders and let it sit for a week. When I went back, turned the motor over by hand with no problems. Next, I went through and changed fluids and just about anything else you could think of before starting a car that has been sitting for a long time. Hooked jump box up and it cranked. Realized it was not getting fuel or spark. Replaced the MPI with a replacement and another ECU for the car. It still cranked but no spark or fuel. Check engine light cycled when the ignition was turned on, like it is supposed to. I got a copy of DSMLink and went down this weekend to see if I could figure out what was going on by using my laptop. When I hooked the jump box up this time, the check engine light did not cycle and the car would not crank at all. The other warning lights come on in the dash like the coolant and brake light. I tried combinations of the new and old ECUs and MPI relays. Please, if anybody has any ideas on this, please let me know. I really do not want to rent a trailer to get it up to my house without knowing if it will be something simple, $$$ or not to get it going.

The one in the car now has the wires integrated in it. the other end plugs in at firewall near the metal box that has the 4 white shielded wires coming out of it.

that little metal box is called your injector resistor pack and yes a black top will not work i sent you pm i have a green top that is forsale and well under 100 LOL if that is truly your problem i also told you in the pm to try and have your son wiggle the plug while you try and turn it by hand i had the same problem with my 90 and i just used a leather uhl (not sure if i spelled that correct) but i just pushed on the connections to tighten them up and it worked great from then on

Yes, I saw the PM. I was just letting you know the location of about where my CAS connector plugs in at. I will try wiggling them in a bit. I wasn't trying to ignore or anything. I thought I replied to PM

Any update?[/QUOT

Maes,

Unfortunately I'm away until Sunday night for the Army. I will be able to check on it Monday afternoon. I got new NGKs for it and double checked wire order. Monday I will try to get time to manually turn CAS again and wiggle the wires at the same time. I will update you all then. Hopefully, I get something going

There can only be so much as to why your not getting fuel and spark and if your getting fuel while turning key to start then the pump is working so i would start at the cas wiring be that turning that you said you didnt get spark nor fuel with it after you get that to get you fuel if you dont get spark i would move to testing the ptu next by checking wiring fist them use multimeter to check it then the coil if all else fails

jbeaton9292,
Just got home a little bit ago. I will let you know tomorrow how it turns out

Did you get all of your sensors figured out and plugged in yet?

Maes,
Not yet. I have been away all weekend for the Army. I still have a few to identify. I have to get under it tomorrow if it is not raining and check the single wires by alternator to see if they are the ones you mentioned.

If not take some good pictures and I can look after work on mine to help you

Either way, I will post and let you know or put pictures up. As long as we don't get rain tomorrow[DOUBLEPOST=1416192304][/DOUBLEPOST]
Alright cool man i hope im helpful

Definitely. You guys are definitely speeding up my learning curve on DSM[DOUBLEPOST=1416245888][/DOUBLEPOST]Guys,

I'm at my wits end. Wires are trashed on CAS. Nothing tests out at all. If I run 12V to the red wires and check the yellow and white, they range up to just under 5V. Even though, they work with a jumped 12V, still no spark or injectors. I probed the engine bay-side of the harness and there is no power coming from it at all. I feel this might be because of ECU not powering up still. I'm about to push the thing back and just let it sit over the winter. I know you guys are helping me so much, just getting fed up with it.

[DOUBLEPOST=1416262949][/DOUBLEPOST]Well, I give up for now I think. I took CAS apart and replaced the nasty old wires. When I turn ignition on, nothing from CAS. If I run 12V to it, I can hear I sound from it for a second. Manually turn and nothing. I have to get ECU rebuilt. Certain components get no power at all. I get 12v to one wire on coil pack and no power to CAS unless I run 12V from battery. It has to be something and I getting tired of feeling beat down by the car.[DOUBLEPOST=1416273765][/DOUBLEPOST]I just emailed ECM Tuning about checking out either my ECUs for repair and also non EPROM conversion. Hopefully won't kill the wallet too much.

That's a solid start make sure you get the correct ECU. and then go from there. You can do the re wiring if you need to that's easy.

Maes,

As soon as I hear what the damage will be from ECM Tuning, that will dictate what I will be able to do immediately. To close to the holidays and little $$$ to spare[DOUBLEPOST=1416365799][/DOUBLEPOST]Does anybody know where to get an affordable fuel tank? I might as well look while I am waiting on ECU information.[DOUBLEPOST=1416365897][/DOUBLEPOST]

Maes,

Rewiring will have to wait until warm weather though. I cannot stand being out in this weather right now.

It was 12 degrees here in northern Indiana today and windy. Colder than ever this year, I haven't opened the garage up since last week and I have new parts to install

I wish I had a garage. It was 17 here in PA today.

This weekend looks to be warmer will you be working on the car so we can get it started?

I have to do a little work on my dad's El Camino this weekend, but I will probably do simple things like busting the brakes down to clean up the calipers and lube the slides so they can stop freezing up. I also might work on the bolts where the fuel pump bolts into the tank. All of those broke off when removing the dead pump.

Did you do a fluid flush on all the basic's first...clean the injec's

Suprakid94,

Yeah, I did a fluid flush on everything that I could. Read the rest of the thread and checkout all that we have been through so far. Right now I am waiting to hear back from ECM Tuning because I need the ECU repaired.

I sent off the ECU of to ECM Tuning today because that is the one that Tom recommended. Question now, what does it mean if ECU Pin #101 does not have continuity with IC110 Pin #1? ECU Pin 63 and 66 have continuity with IC110 Pin #4, but no continuity between ECU Pin #101 and IC110 Pin #1, this is with the 91 ECU that I did not send away.[DOUBLEPOST=1416723957][/DOUBLEPOST]UPDATE: I got the check engine light to cycle with the 91 ECU. ECU Pin #101 did not have continuity with IC110 Pin #1. I ran a jumper wire between the two and it cycles now. It was 1 in the morning when I put the ECU in so I couldn't attempt start it because I do not know if it is going to be loud or not. I am going to turn it over when I get up in the morning. I will let everybody know what the results are.
