This is my Dads 1992 Awd Auto Talon he is building

Build consist of

Engine:
-2.1L filled block Engine with 10.5.1 pistons, GRP rods, Winberg Crankshaft
-Cams are still undecided.
-Head will consist of +2mm intake and +1mm exhaust with custom port work

Turbo:
-Precision 7685 1.28
-ff Header

Electronics:
-Haltech EMS with custom harness
-Sparktech DSM Drag II ignition

Chassis :
-Custom 7.50 cage
-Custom bolt in 9" rear
-Custom front subframe we designed
-Carbon fiber panels and wing
-lexan all around

Transmission:
- Fully Built 2G auto with custom spur transfer gears we had made
-Precision Converter
-Custom billet T-case (in the works) Gonna just run a 300m one with a custom longer billet tail so we can run a single driveshaft
-Custom bolt in solid 9" with strange axles

I wondered what had happened with this car after it got sold. Any race in particular you guys decided to build this for?

Does it look like it should turn out bad? I'm not a fan of the wing but as for the rest of the car, it is coming together nicely

We picked it up from the guy in Jersey that originally bought it after the hood came up. We got it for 1200 ,1800 with new hood and a ff header. I'm not sure if he built it for any particular race but i would assume WCF.
 
Ah, my old beast. Glad to see it's still around. Looks like a crazy build beyond anything I'd ever want LOL. Interested to see how it turns out. Looks like quality work for sure!

Yep still around and in good hands. Any chance you remember what paint you used? We would like to get it close when we repaint the inside and engine bay.

The code is 070 from Toyota. The brand I used on that car was called U-tech. It's a line by Akzo Nobel.

One of my favorite 1gbs of all time. The conversion from street to drag is coming along nicely might I say. Cant wait to see what she can pull.
 
Price on that K-member?

I didn't mean it wouldn't turn out good, but 90% of insane builds end up being part outs when documented like this.

I'm praying your's does not. Good luck.
 
I agree that most DSM's end with part outs but I can promise it will not be parted out. We are gonna try to get it up and running this winter with the part's we have and add what we can as funds permit. Suppose to be heading out to Haltech this week to pick up Sport2000 & custom harness ,sensors ect. If your interested in a k member just pm me for any details.
 
Wow, that manifold looks like the one my friend Mike Colapietro had on his 2g years ago. It was built by Tym Switzer.
 
I don't know who built it but it looks bad ass on the car. Only thing is the turbo pushes out on the bumper. So may have to trim it up a lil or just build a different one which will probably happen.
