I thought I should put my results here since I finally took the car to the track.

2.3 7 bolt 8.5:1 Manley pistons and rods with a 4g64 crank.
HX40 billet 7 blade on a BEP DSM bolt on housing @33psi on E85
Tial 38mm external of the O2 housing
The rest of the my mods are in my profile.

The car ran an 11.716 @121.37 on some 19'' heavy wheels. The car is at full weight with AC, power steering and cruise control. I also had a full tank of gas. I do plan on going back with some barrowed light weight 15's on slicks and less gas in the tank. I plan on using anti-lag and NLST. Hoping for some mid to low 11's. I will update the new results in a couple of weeks.

hx35 with stock 12cm housing
Auto with stock converter
6 bolt rods/2g pistons

~33 psi

Copy/Paste from FB - Ran out of time after 3 pulls. AFR was super fat 11.2:1, real conservative timing, runs cut short at ~7500 while we got the baseline in, never turned on the water nozzles and still made 410whp on 15psi! Fuel was E70" lot of power left yet in just leaning on the tune and winding out higher! This was a Mustang dyno.

Torque only trails off even the slightest because cells at that load past 7000 hadn't been tweaked yet.. which shows pretty distinctly on the graph LOL

This is a spool up reference on a Holset H1E.

Turbo: 8 blade 60mm H1E in a 22cm divided housing on a true twin scroll topmount manifold running dual 44mm wastegates. 4 inch mandrel bent full exhaust straight out to the back bumper.

Weight: 3300lbs

Boost: Log says 39.2psi at 5887rpms, tapering off to 36.6 at 7000rpms. Airflow peaked at 58lbs/min. The boost gauge hit 40psi on the nose, so it was close. My 4202 never dropped boost and the MBC was never turned down after the turbo swap. All I did was bolt on the H1E, and see what it could do as far as spoolup vs the 4202.

The H1E also built 27psi by 5000rpms on in this same log.

For the record, the 4202 built 40psi by 7000rpms on a 1.01 housing.

Fuel/Engine Management:ECMLink V3, R.C.I. 2200cc primaries, 950 secondaries, speed density, plx wb02.

AFR: 12.1 on initial spoolup, but tapers to 11.3 (same map as the 4202. Untouched for the H1E)

Timing: 11* peak

Compression: 8.5:1

Bolt-on Modifications:Frontline fan twinscroll top mount, JMF DRAG intake manifold, NX single fogger 100 shot kit (not used on this pull).

Engine Internals: R&R, non-HD Wisecos, 2.0, 8.5:1 compression, 1G ported RRE head, 286 DRC intake/exhaust cams, Oringed head, Supertech dual valve springs, SS valves, Kiggly HLA regulator,

Drivetrain Modifications: Welded center Diff, M&H street bias plys, Shot peened transfer gears. Stock Tcase, Stock Driveshaft, Stock suspension, Stock 4 Bolt rear, Stock Axles. BradCo "Tight" converter.

New personal best from post #92 a few things have changed.

Turbo: 56mm Billet 6blade HX40 in a BEP 70A/R T3 housing (turbo rebuilt by JusMX141)

Weight: 2715

Boost: 33psi tapering off to ~29 (havent figured this out yet, but its not a boost leak starting to think its a boost controller issue)

Fuel/Engine Mang: 1000cc injectors, 650cc/min 100% meth injection with a 250psi pump, v2.5 DSM link, stock 2G MAF with a 4bar map sensor for maf clamp feature.

AFR: Didn't check during the pass

Timing: 21-22*

Compression: 7.8:1

Bolt-on Modifications: No exhaust just running straight 3 inch out the bumper, DNP exhaust manifold, FP intake, JMF SMIM

Engine Internals: Bone stock 2.0 long block (still with rear balance shaft connected), ARP head studs, stock HG, BC272, BC valve springs/retainers

Drivetrain Modifications: Welded center Diff, M&H racemasters, Faceplatted trans by liberty gears, Shot peened gearset. Stock Tcase, Stock Driveshaft, Megan Coil overs Stock 4 Bolt rear, Stock Axles, ACT2900, Fidanza Flywheel.

Just got my car dyno'd, here's the results:

470AWHP/405WTQ on straight 93 pump - Tuned by Nate @ TPG Tuning

Turbo: 7-Blade HX-35 with BEP .70 @ 26Psi

Engine: Stock Shortblock, ARP "L19" Headstuds, Web 546/547 Cams, 2g Head Portmatched to 1G runners.

Fuel: FIC 1050cc, Walbro 400lph Re-wired, Fuellab filter to rail kit, Aeromotive fpr

Other: ECMLink V3 Speed Density, Punishment racing hot parts kit, 3" straight pipe, fp 4" intake, Magnus "street" SMIM, ETS 3" Race intercooler, ect.

Hope to get some 1/4mi passes in soon, just gotta get rid of this junk trans first...

^^^ Very nice power on pump!!!!

Stock short block, BC272s, BC springs. VRspeed fmic and Speed density

Single rewired wally 255. 1000cc's on E85

Redjack t/s manifold. Hx35 7 blade. ~30 psi 17* peak timing.

Few weeks ago I hit the dyno. Boost spiked to 31 and fell to 28 up top, made 452whp and 440tq. Afterwards I found a couple pretty significant boost leaks at the waste gate pressure sources. Last weekend I got two passes at the track in. New personal best of 11.6 @ 119 with a 1.6 60' on street tires. Temp was hot and humid and boost was down a little (25).. Spun hard in first and short shifted a bit. If I'd had a couple more runs I think I could have gotten the ET down some more. IDC's are still in the 90%s.. I definitely need to invest in some more fuel!

He didnt know I wanted to be tuned for SD so im pretty much maxing out the Maf. Ill be going back at 30psi+ and SD!

Thought i'd chime in with my results since i had my car dyno'd recently. Made 370hp and 325tq at 25psi on a 7blade hx-35. This was on 93 pump gas and the stock intake and exhaust manifold which obviously was too restricting even though it was flowing 50ft/lbs. Definitely a little disappointed i didnt break 400 but he did the pulls in 2nd gear for whatever reason and this was the 14th pull of the tuning session. Speed density and a SMIM are in the works for the winter so hopefully i'll have 400hp by spring.

Have a 7 blade HX40, bolt on housing, FP manifold running 27psi on my spyder.

Was doing 12.0 passes with a massive boost leak, fixed it and the following day ran a [email protected] on street tires with a 1.9 60'.

Note:
-Car was out of alignment
-That was the first pass after fixing the boost leak. No other tuning was done and there is MUCH more potential in the setup
-Fuel used: 94/114 mix +meth

Turbo: 7 Blade HX40, .70 BEP T3 Housing, Punishment Racing Manifold running ~30psi and 12 degrees of timing (plugs read great so I am not sure what is going on there).

Mods: 1g rod/2g piston engine, stock head, stock cams, ARP head studs, 1050cc injectors (out of fuel), evo3 intake manifold, e85

Best time was a 12.4 locked out of 3rd and 4th :(
Best MPH: 121.5 locked out of 2nd and slow shifting 3rd and 4th.

Turbo: 8 blade HX35, BEP .55 a/r housing, 34psi dropping to 28psi @ 7500rpm

Mods: 1g awd auto. Re stalled converter, GSC s2 cams, smim, block and hg is stock 6 bolt, around 3000 lbs plus 180lb driver.

Dyno: 400whp/401wtq mustang dyno, stalled auto.

Best time : 10.8 @126. Current bep.55 ar housing hx35 record.

First I wanted to say after having this turbo on the car since the very first Holset thread before they got popular and ive just now been able to get it running and make a pass on it LOL better late than never to the party LOL.

Mods:

Turbo: Hx40 pro .55 BEP, FP Manifold running 27psi on E-85 17degrees of timing

Motor: Eagle Rods, Weisco Pistons 9:1, Bone stock Head with Crower Springs, 272 HKS cams

Transmission: Bone stock with 120k + miles, Act Twin Disc

1/4: 11.88 @ 117 mph

Last Comment: Having wastegate issue with the car was hitting full boost @ 27psi but in between 1st to 2nd to 3rd to 4th boost would fall to 14psi and not hit full boost again till I was @ 6,800rpm in between shifts. Overall I was very happy first time out considering the situation.

Wow i forgot about this thread. Well a few things have changed but not much.
Thigs that have changed include RCI2200s, Qm twin disk and added a 6pt cage.

Fall of 2015 i made the switch to flex fuel and headed up to a dyno day.

5050 mix of e85 and 93 octane amd a quick couple second gear pulls we half assed dialed it in,

Shortly after i finally got it dialed in on 100% e85 and hit the track. 90* day amd stupid humid. Best pass on street tires was a 11.04 @ 125.92

stats on the pass:
boost pressure: 26psi
launch rpm: 4100
launch boost: about 13psi
fuel: e85
nitrous: none. power wire came unhooked and never used it.

did find out later on that the fuel pump was starting to fail so I was having issues when the pump started to get warm. plans to go back with new fuel pump setup on same boost and try again.

IMPORTANT - make sure the timeslip and dyno numbers you post in this thread are also posted in your car's DSM Profile. If you don't have a DSM Profile for your car yet, create one. We don't want users posting their results in these types of threads INSTEAD OF posting it in their DSM Profiles. When you post it in your DSM Profiles, it automatically adds your car to the Timeslips and Dyno lists here, which we put a lot of work into.

/Off topic - carry on.

transmission rebuilt by me.
MT 26"slicks

1.56 60ft

11.1@127mph -1/4mile

I have ran 11.4 with a 1.8 60ft on a stock housing hx35 at 28psi with the same set up, but street tires. . I feel that the hy is at its limits with the 9cm housing and hoping the hx35 will give me more top end with the 12cm housing and a 10 with the slicks.

also
this was on my third ever run on slicks.

How much power did you make on the hy35 if you don't mind me asking ?

How much power did you make on the hy35 if you don't mind me asking ?
have not had it to the dyno. hoping to get on one this summer....but this car has completely been built, dialed, and tuned on my back road.
It wont be on the hy35 tho. I put the hx back on. i made better results at 28psi on the hx, than 32psi on the hy. exact same set up, track, and temps.

Can you comment on the different spool characteristics and streetability between the two?
On a 3rd gear pull I would hit 30psi around 4600rpms on the twin scroll hx (open t3 manifold remember) and 4200 on the hy.

The hy was defiantly more responsive on the street. But the hx was fine. My biggest issue was having the tires to handle it.

Both turbos were great for the track tho.

But keep in mind. My Nissan Versa is more fun on the streets. Zipping round town.
