Oh yeah, every single day when i went to work or just to go for a drive, Hondas would always pull up next to me and try staring me down while they rev there engine. Its hilarious when you leave them in the dust. To me its alot of fun and i enjoy just having the power at my disposal. You should do it more often, its fun excitement.

Whoa whoa hold up a minute. Street racing? That only applies if there is actually a chance of a "race". It's more like a street "beat down" , street " ass dragging" , street "embarrassing" most of the time there is no actual racing going down

I've had the ricer flyby done to me on numerous occasions. Even in my beat old purple Talon.

Now to be fair to some Diesel truck owners not all want to race. I have had more people in cars want to race me in a Ford F-350 than my Galant. I actually did give into one guy in a newer 3 series BMW and had M badges all over it and you could tell it wasn't, anyway he kept revving at me and had some girl with him so needless to say I absolutely killed him after a quick pull. I just had to make him look stupid in a 9000lbs truck....

In the Galant only one person has ever tried to "Go" me. It was an Evo X but I think the only reason he tried me was because I had slicks on my car at the time heading back from a lapping day, If I didn't have slicks on he probably wouldn't have even looked twice at me. BTW I didn't give into him!

I have big ass diesel trucks pull up next to me alll the time and try to race me. And of course any other car that someone has put rims on or an exhaust.... The funniest part is revving next to them and when the light turns green just cruise on by like normal as the other car starts peeling out

Ha Yea all the time especailly on the highway. once a mazda i saw behind me flying in an out of traffic and when it got to me it cruised at the same speed beside me for about aminute then took off i think expecting me to race him.

I cant stand the retarded truck guys that think their paper weights are fast, I don't get many cars like subies or 300zx trying to race me but when ever there's some retard in his domestic they gotta try and race..... so freak'n annoying but I never give in.
One time I was sitting at a light and this big diesel dodge rolls up beside me and starts revving, I noticed a cop 2 cars back so I thought I'd entice him a little (running no exhaust so all you here is turbo spool) with a little rev. Short story shorter, light goes green guy pins it and squawks the tires I just creep away from the light and the cops lights go on! Cop gives me the thumbs up and pulls the truck over. Sooo epic I was laughing my ass off, wanted to stop mock the guy for being an idiot but I choose the high road.

I went into a parking lot on a cruise night a couple months ago; a couple hondas, a fox body, blah blah miscellaneous things.

Some kid comes up to me on my passenger side window, where my 15 year old nephew was sitting, and asks if I want to race. Seriously?

He must have drove one of the Hondas. I'm not even concerned if he's one of the few in the city with the 300-plus HP EF hatches, where I'd be power-to-weight outgunned. It's the pure retardedness of the question posed, the lack of regard for the kid in the car, and the general display of ineptitude that really pisses me off.

Besides that, riced out 2008+ Lancers (I have a '09 GTS, kid, I know what they're not capable of), whale-tail Tiburons, and Celica GTs. Those are the ones that keep trying to incite something. I don't know why, so I usually just put 70% throttle into second above 3200rpm. That usually causes them to u-turn asap, and rarely causes me to exceed the speed limit. A lack of traction actually has its benefits sometimes.

We did get the VR4's but just under the eagle badge, 2000gtx's but there's no badge saying AWD or anything. So its hard to tell if its just the fwd n/t or the AWD turbo'd model. I believe all came with 4g63's.

Canada only got N/A Awd & Fwd badged as 2000gtx. Never got a turbo model.

Lmao, i get all of the above every single time i drive mine, and the thing about the stop light and pullin away soft while the other people look like tools, i do tht on almost a daily basis! LOVE IT! There is NO shortage of fart can reject hondas, nissans, etc, and black smoke trucks in winston salem NC and surrounding areas, super annoying. I get more attention n my 1g than nething ive ever had, ive seen numerous dumb@$$es get pulled over from actin stupid, and seen a couple wreck, im a power junkie, i like to have it on tap, but keep it off the street, really, i have 5 kids and would go NUTS if (god forbid) something happened cause of some ricer retard wreckin nto me

Are you sure? I've seen a few adds on kijiji with AWD turbo 2000GTX's, they're hard to come by but they are there. I went and checked one out a year ago owned by an old lady.....it was turbo 4g63 AWD and I couldn't see that old lady being a tuner.
A few months ago there was one in I believe Calgary original engine with FMIC injectors ECMlink etc all the bolt ons for $1500 out the door.

Yeah. I drive like a grandma and still get challenged. I annoy the piss out of passengers because of how I drive carefully as I can and don't feel the need to rush anywhere even if late, and I still would get challenged by your random douchenozzle in a truck/import/mustang/etc. I think a HUGE part of it is insecurity on the other drivers part.

100% positive that there were no Dodge/Eagle 2000gtx's that came turbo from factory regardless if fwd or awd. If they did come factory there would have been no point for the 3000 limited run of USDM VR4's. And Canada did not get some rare model. Why would Mitsu do that when the lower 48 is a much larger market? And only sell one model that came turbo for a limited run only?

I know quite a few people who have 2000gtx's that have been swapped to turbo as it is a fairly straight forward process.

I just rev it a few times and watch them spin their tires with the green .. it feeds their ego and gets them the speeding ticket while I cruise along with a big grin on my face

Hondas try to race me daily, I just look at them speed away slowly with their cambered wheels while I cruise and save my gas!
