Ive been trying to locate it. I know what it looks like but cant find it in the bay to save my life. Need to try cleaning it with my high cox readings

On the 4g63 engine, the EGR is on the left side of the intake manifold below the throttle body.

On the 420a, the EGR is to the right of the exhaust manifold above the transmission.

nice 420a pic that's a good one to use for reference mind if I use this in the future. and sorry for assuming you have a 4g63[DOUBLEPOST=1414257554][/DOUBLEPOST]yes the first pic we posted is what your looking for

Yes, your egr will be on the left side of your intake under the tb as in pic 1. You can get an egr block off plate and get rid of a bunch of lines if you do not have emissions test in your state. Helps clean up your engine bay as well!!

I got it.. problem is getting it to pass emissions. I took egr off and cleaned all the carbon out. There was no gasket so i put one on. I prefer to block it all off. My 650ho honda is all cleaned up but this is a daily and needs to pass. I still have to replace catalytic i believe. My co readings were ridiculous so cars running really rich.

I also found that precious owner broke an exhaust manifold stud so im sure theres a leak there too. Changed 02 to a beck arnley.. bosch was throwing codes

Wear a mask and safety goggles when you clean the egr, I used auto parts store carb cleaner, and I then went to harbor fright and picked up some of these http://www.harborfreight.com/10-piece-tube-brush-kit-95947.html,

I had great results by letting the part sit In the carb cleaner, I took my time cleaning the egr... I'd say I took about a week [or less], every day I'd spray some carb cleaner in it and lightly brushed the ports, it came out looking really nice, the trick is to just take your time, and let the cleaning solution start to penetrate the baked on debris, and pay close attention to detail when finishing it up,

I also recommend making sure you clean [on the intake side] the egr supply and return ports for the egr as well.
I like to remove the intake manifold completely, and clean the whole thing out, while it's not necessary to remove it to clean it out, I feel that if you want to do the best job possible cleaning the whole thing, it's better to have it off the car to access all the ports... plus with intake manifold removed you can clean the port holes on the cylinder head better too.[DOUBLEPOST=1414380672][/DOUBLEPOST]Test your engines coolant temp sensor, it could be sending bad readings to the ecu, causing the car to dump too much fuel in.
