I have an hx40 with external gate and i am hooking up ecu based boost control with the ingersol rand boost control solenoid that ecmlink sells. What are the advantages to using the simple one port on the wastegate or using both ports on the wastegate? Not sure which way to hook it up.

I have an external wastegate. From my reading using both ports lets you run more boost on a smaller spring. Is that the only advantage?

I have run it both ways on an external wastegate and the only difference I noticed was that the "correct way" held boost at 32 while the "incorrect way" would drop to 28.
