I had just bought my talon and my buddy had taking me to pick it up in his talon and we were kinda messing with each other and then there was a stop light and and there was two cars in front of me and like 4 infront of him and I looked over and then he hit the brakes and bam rear ended someone. I just started laughing and was thinking like did that just happen.

Went outside to leave for school, and my accelerator was stuck. I thought hmm... that is weird so I just stomped on it and it was to the floor. The rpm's got to 9,000 and the needle was bouncing. Nearly crapped myself! :ohdamn:

Balance shaft belt shredded 3 months aftrr I bought it luckily I bought the extended warranty when I got the car...yes I've had mine long enoight to have bought it used with a 100k extended warranty LOL

Once I bought one I bought another. Then I had to get another. So I moved home and filled the garage and driveway. My mother hated that but I told her everything would be OK.

Three days after I bought my 95 Talon TSi I hit a deer and destroyed the drivers side. I was 18 and it was my first "newer" car so I was crushed.

Got my gst a few weeks ago and i'm still finding all kinds of random issues with it. The biggest being the clutch and what seem like other various parts of the tranny. This car is like a fun nightmare but at least my spyder gs still works when it feels like it...

On my way to this past S.O in my VR4 a brake caliper bolt backed out on my Stoptechs, needless to say they got jammed in my RPF1 doing 160KPH at 2:00AM Saturday morning. Had to reverse about 5KM on a Highway to the next service station to get it off the road.

Since I was traveling with my brother we decided to live my car behind. We drove for about another hour then his alternator started to die. So we stopped in Windsor Ontario and slept in his Evo 3 in a Mc Dicks parking lot. Woke up at 8:00 am and called every auto parts store that was open to find an alternator. After about 2hrs of searching we found one and swapped it in the parking lot. And you pretty much have to disassemble the front of his Evo to get to it.

Next up is when we got to the border. I guess none of the boarder patrol people had seen a RHD car before. They thought we were trying to smuggle drugs across and kept us in some little room. Needless to say they didn't have anything on us, well not quite. We had a box of Magnus air freshners that we had in the car and they ended up charging us $8 in taxes and told us we had to go in the Commercial lanes. And the final thing they said to us was is your car even legal here. And my Bro replied don't know and drove offROFL And we finally made it to the shootout 2 days late!!!

Haha the drive back is a story for a different dayROFL

Battery died and reset Link v2 so it ran shit shiot until my friend came over to retune since i didnt have the cord or laptop at the time. Also scared the urine right out of me when my ebc and boost guage read 22lbs when it was tuned for stock. Still havnt solved the last one. i just baby her. LOL

When i first read this i thought you said you crushed it, my heart sank. LOL that seems to happen to everyone, get a new car you love and something goes horribly wrong (knock on wood).

The 2nd day of owning my very first dsm, my oil pressure sending unit "magically" snapped off in the filter housing. I went to pull out of my friends driveway and there was a huge puddle of oil. good thing my friends flagged me down as i was leaving! Of course it was a bastard year 1990 so the oil filter housing was a touch different and i spent time searching for a used one to toss on:sneaky:

On my first DSM I bought it from an older guy who used engine paint on an exhaust mani which in 3 blocks smoked me and my little brother out of the car. 6 more blocks after that happened I hit the highway and instantly noticed I had a flat tire which turned out to be two flat tires, so I limped it home on the side of the highway for 49 km. 2 days later one of the exhaust manifold runner basically cracked open, fast forward another week and the OD clutch pack goes bang and the tranny shop I sent it to wrecks my very minty bumper........that's my first dsm purchase story.

not bad eh?

I bought my first 98 gst for 1300 nothing wrong with it. And on my way to work some guy ran me off the road and I ran into a tree an totaled my car. And then bout a month later I picked up a 93 gst for 2000 and it blew up four days after I got it now I have over 4k into it and it still wont run right. Talk about headachs

1st 1g I got had the balance shafts seize an hour after driving it home. Bad day on the farm.

I have a lot of rust problems where I live... I've also had 3 DSM's. FINALLY got a rust free shell :)
First DSM (1990 Talon TSI AWD) had A LOT of rust. Friend snapped my control arm trying to get the rotor off of my car. I'm glad that happened in my front yard and not on the highway. Sold it for more than I bought it to some guy who wanted it as a parts car for his rally car.
Second DSM (1996 Talon TSI AWD 2GB Eclipse conversion) guy before me "undercoated" the car. It was rattle-can. Over rust. Literally kicked a hole in my floor pan. Yikes. Took it down to nuts and bolts and parted it out the next day. Still have a basement full of spare parts and an engine :p
Decided to try something that wasn't a DSM. Bought a 2000 Altima for literally $100 and some subs. Waterpump went on the way home, scrapped it for $260, went out and bought my third DSM.
Third DSM is FINALLY RUST FREE. With only 98K to boot! No engine though, and it's a GST auto, but I'll live with the front wheel drive and auto for a rust free shell, that's nearly impossible to find around me. FINALLY starting the engine build thanks to some parts from some fellow Tuners members :)
Gotta love upstate New York :p

I had my 95 tsi for all of a year... I had boughten it knowing it spun a bearing so i spent the next year just replacing everything before the first start. Well I bought a house in the middle of all of this so I moved the talon to my new place. Upon finally buttoning up the car and only needing a battery I had a tree fall and crush my car. Since it wasnt tagged nor insured I lost out on everything..:banghead:

Had mine for about a month (finding stuff wrong with it the whole time) and i was on my way home from work when the slave cylinder went out, started vibrating horribly, i shut it down and pulled off the road, towed it to my shop only to find tht it had broken an ear off for the bellhousing bolt, and snapped the driverside cv axle joint, ill have it fixed soon
