I bought a 96 eclipse spyder GTS. only 73k miles in outstanding condition. i have been reading up on it. i now have plans on what im going to be doing next.

so far:
BOV dump tube trimmed
Installed aftermarket radio
Installed set of tweeters on pillars
Removed Boost control solenoid restrictor
Cleaned engine bay
New 6inch speakers in the doors

Not a whole lot yet but its a start, and i have only had the car for 4 days, l

Ok great idea on everything. Except the dump tube. I do not recommend it. You will see absolutely no difference. The only difference I saw when I did it was it made the car idle like crap. Not worth it. It's not like you'll be chasing down lambos if you take it off. Just save up for an intake pipe. Or buy a cheap one from the classifieds here or CL.

I think he already has done the dump tube. remember with dsms always do it right and not half a$$ or it will come back and bite you in the a$$

yes i already did the dump tube, i knew i wouldnt see a diff from doing it. i took it for a drive after and so far idle is good, no ruff driving. thank you for the advise

Just a few things that i have been working on with my car. Nothing big yet. but its still good stuff.

Pulled these out of my door panels. What happened to the foam surround? LOL

Installed a new radio, works great. i just have to figure out what happened to the spacing above the radio. the first one i installed fit fine. but this one fits diff. always something to work on.

top looks almost new too thats a huge plus

manual spyder gst, not many of those around from the factory. nice pick up

check out my profile for out spyder project

Yes the top is new, the guy I got it from kept in in the garage. He also had the top replaced 6 months ago.

It is a manual thank goodNess. I don't think I would have bought it if it wasn't. It only has 73k miles. And it is very clean. Ill take more pics in a little bit.

The best part is I Only paid 1500 for it[DOUBLEPOST=1414751646][/DOUBLEPOST]Look how clean the headlights and fog lights are

The guy I bought it from bought it new and has been the only owner. If kept it in the garage when he wasn't driving it. And when he said he wanted to sell it and told me how much. It was a no brainer. Bought it. He pulled out a folder with the history on it, with all the work ever done down to the oil changes. He took care of this car and I was totally lucky to come accross it

I'd never put a headunit worth more than $100 in a convertible. Catch the right lowlife at the right time and you're replacing a top and a headunit. Garage or not I'm at the gym late nights and have had it done before.[DOUBLEPOST=1414844805][/DOUBLEPOST]Hard to have anything nice with all the pieces of trash out there.

I see what your saying, but that is why I have great insurance. Plus its a chance you have to take to have nice things. I mean some one could steal my entire car fast with a soft top. But I still do things to it. But it is a detachable face so I do take that off every time to help keep that from happening.
