Hi all. I'm finally getting my first 2G after years of wanting one. I've loved this car ever since my parents bought my sister one when she turned 16 (I on the other hand had to buy a 1985 chevy s10). Now after 11 long years its finally happening. Its a red 1999 Mitsu Eclipse automatic with 201000 miles. That part doesn't matter to me but I've ordered the following parts to do as soon as it gets in my driveway:
Timing belt, water pump, valve cover gasket, oil pump, upper and lower radiator hoses, 10 qts of trans fluid, trans filter, oil filter, synthetic oil, spark plugs, plug wires, and oxygen sensors. That should get me started whether or not it needs all of it. Now my question is, is there anything else that I should grab on my way home while I will have it tore down? Any part that is usually problematic for these cars that I should go ahead and replace? I just sold my Montero sport to finance getting this car serviced up. Great to be here!
