So ive got a simple idea i wanted to see if anyone else has tried.

These Bosch 1600s have resistance of about 5 -5.5 ohms. This is neither hi z nor low z. Im sure im not the only one to have problems with them.

What im thinking is deleting the resistor pack and putting in 5ohm resistors for each injector. That would get me up to what is considered "hi-z" and hopefully help the injectors with cruise/idle situations. Not to mention it would spare my ecu.

Any feedback? Please?

EDIT: DOES ANYONE HAVE BOSCH 1600s? Maybe a PM? Would like to share some data and get some experiences. No one runs these damn things it seems like.

Do you have the exact part number?

We need at least this info to start looking for application data/ electrical characteristics.

Thank you. Tomorrow morning i will get the p/n off the injector and post up. Tested and they are all at 4.9ohm. I use meters frequently and my leads and fluke are top notch. My ptes that are now in a box test around 2.8ohms. Now im thinking its just not that big of a difference.
IDK, im looking at a set of FIC 2150s, those are proven and easy to tune, not so jumpy.
Anyway, ill get back w pn and see

Fuel Injector Lag Time

TY tiki, i have been on that page, even posted last but i didnt look into it deep enough. Its giving me injbatadjust values for my injectors(bosch, actual flow 1545, 5ohm etc etc.)
The only problem is our tables are dif from an evo 8 so i have to speculate at what 7v latency would be. I will extrapolate from the given values and test. Thanks for redirecting my eyes to that page. Read everything and it might work. Im gonna PM mork and see if he did anything about the resistance.

nvm, i really dont know how to read LOL: he lists from 6v to 17v. I expect i can use these values in injbatteryadjust and zero out my DT in the fuel tab. We shall see

Well, after trying different values and tuning more its safe to say these really are junk injectors. Theyre just brutal to drive. My injector drivers could be the culprit but i dont think so. Switching back to my pte 1000s and stickin w ethanol. Going to see how they respond. But for now, im done with bosch. Ill probably have a set of perfect condition bosch 1600s coming up in the classifieds soon if anyone else is brave enough. I paid 220 plus 75 for flow testing and cleaning so that money could have went towards fic 2150s. Im sorry for the rant but im beginning to hate this car and all the little things that break and go out of wack.....

Well I unknowingly picked up a set of these a while back. I didn't even notice they weren't plug and play until I went to install them last weekend. Now after doing some research I realize that I also have the 5 ohm bosch 1600s. Has anyone other than the one guy listed above gotten these tuned on DSMLink (he was actually on ECUFlash with an EVO ECU)? I'm wondering if it's even worth trying to tune these?
