Nice to see you went with the aem v2 . Are you going to be using it to shift the trans? Couple that with it controlling your boost by gear and/or speed should make for a nice track setup.

Do you have a crank trigger?

No sir, just going to be using a triggerdisc.

Still going to be shifting manually with the ratchet. I have it down to a science now. We had boost by gear w/ Link but it still was set w/ the same target boost in every gear. Can't wait to head back out as soon as it warms up with the new changes.

Is winter over yet? Sheesh. Been a while since I updated this thread. Been super busy with work so I barely get to touch the car. My buddy Karl from KP Tuning helped me out and came over to my garage while I was at worked and fired the car on the new AEM and is going to dyno tune it this Saturday...again, while i'm at work. Ugh.

A couple more updates. I had my buddies at PSI Proformance build me an intake entering at the bumper since I don't have much free time any more. Turned out just how I wanted it! Also got a new tow rig! Can't wait to hit the track!

Sweet gears they for sale yet or testing? These the ones frontlinefab was working on?

I sent a pm, Also wondering how that water pump was working out for you?

Decided to switch up a few things.

Switched to VP Import along with FICs new 1650cc injectors.

Switched to 2g auto trans built by me along with the straight cut transfer gears and a Precision converter.

Pretty much all done and ready for some retuning in the next week.

Amazing 1g! Hopefully I'll run into you at ATCO one day so I can check this car out!!

Good choice on the VP Import and 2G auto setup and PI converter! What converter stall (level) did you get?

May I ask why you went down on injector? I have FIC's 2150 and kinda wanted the 1650's. What was your highest duty cycle with the 2150? I'll also be on Ethanol when the time comes

I went through the whole build thread and watched some vids. Awesome car

Saftey wire won't help. A few people have tried it and it just broke it. The problem is that the bolts are loaded in tension and shear. Dowel pins or more fasteners is the only way to fix it.

Went with there 4500 stall converter.

Thanks! I went down on injector because I wanted to go to an injector that was compatible with VP Import since I went away from Ethanol. The 2150s won't work with Import unfortunately.

Back to the backing out converter bolt issue, have you ever considered running safety wire through them like aircraft fasteners have? Or is there simply no room to work it in there?

We tried a bunch of things with no success. The 1/2" bolts on the Bradco were the only ones that lasted a while and even they started coming loose after several track sessions. Hoping that the 8 bolts on the Precision will do the trick but i'll be keeping my eye on them after every pass until I feel comfortable with them.

I've went through every page and every post in this thread.. Wow man love the car and the progress. I'm doing an auto conversion as we speak in my 6 bolt swap 2g. Did the new converter hurt the bank? I'm still stuck on which route I'm going to go
