Last week a coworker slammed my passenger door to hard. It caused the mirror to pop off. I thought I popped it back on correct. On my way of driving home, I noticed that I did not pop it back on correct and it had fallen somewhere. I was going to go to the junkyard and pick up another. Should I get a whole new side mirror housing or just try to pop a mirror off? Also and advice on popping the new mirror on?

If you can find a matching one, it's easier to just replace the whole thing. Look in the part out section for a matching car. Now if you want to just replace the mirror, I'd suggest getting a brand new one, when trying to take these mirrors out you end up breaking those little tabs holding it in. I've used 3m Double stick tape to hold them on with the broken clips for years with no problems.

I don't let anyone open or close my doors, never will again! Plus it's gentlemen like!

My girlfriend always says, don't you get tired of doing this, I reply.

Nope it saves me many hours, back pain, and face palming!
Did I mention these doors are heavy as F*&^! ( I'm only 5"10" 160lbs )

This is why I open and close the doors for my passengers, one straight up drop of the door and I have to adjust the hinge, re-align the stopper to make the door close right, least to say about 2 days of farting around, tweaking it just right because just right isn't good enough, it has to be perfect! :( Think i need 700 or 750 shocks instead of 615's to prevent accidents, but it's a habit opening the doors for everyone now.

Be mindful when replacing your mirror, if you don't replace the broken parts, you might end up with a swamp on your floor board, or even more work down the road!
It's a pretty simple fix to remove the old busted mirror and mount and replace with the new!
And it never hurts to act like a gentlemen and open/close doors for your passengers!

I have them on mine too, I use 800s, they take a little strength to pull down, but they go up very nicely & hold strong.
