I wonder if it has something to do with both of those oils being synthetics. Maybe Brad Penn would drop your pressure

That's possible. The 100psi isn't bad for the motor. I'm just worried about my turbo.

Im looking into finding a restrictor for it. We have our first AX event this Sunday, which i'm running and I made the course, so I REALLY wanna par-take.

UPDATE: 6/11/2014

Well, since the wedding things have been a crazy roller coaster. We had to cut our honeymoon short after 2 days due to my wife needing medical attention, she then had surgery a few days ago and is recovering while we figure what to do next.

She was able to attend our first AX region event on Sunday though and she had a BLAST!

Wendy, did well too. The only real issue the car has right now is the suspension. She has a set of used second hand KYB Struts and Eibach Coil Overs, but they seem to be worn out. So a new set is in the future. She was a whole new car on course though. Lots of power and the grip with these 265s is insane.

Our event would have been much better, but pouring rain made us end it early.

Only got one good picture of Wendy in action.

Current To-Do List:
- Flush & fill with MT90
- BLT
- Install 20g Turbo w/ Oil Restrictor
- Re-tune the car to run on SD

Next AX event is July 6th, 25 days away.

UPDATE: 6/19/2014

Last Saturday there was a big car show in Erie PA. They basically block off 10 blocks on our busiest street and let cars of all types just park on each side and in the middle.

Snapped a few shots. The tree threw some shade on her. But I gave her a quick rub down. :)

I was driving to work yesterday and ended up hitting a pretty bad bump/lip in the road. Was hard to tell with the new black top, but it hit hard and good and scared the sh** out of me actually.
Low and behold, I noticed right away that something had given way.

I blew the front strut right through the mounting top plate. It stopped when it hit my hood. :(

Hard to tell in this picture, but there is a nice little pimple in the hood now. :sosad:

IMG_20140619_073626_219_zpstk94wwwx.jpg

I was pretty upset, but interestingly enough, my wife and I had been talking about getting me a new set of coilovers since these where worn out and used. So the search begins.

We have been having some awesome thunderstorms lately. So I snapped a ncie instragram picture yesterday. For some reason, I love the way this sky reflects off the hood.

You getting any tire rub on the rears? How did you roll the fenders?

I only get rear tire rub when take a VERY hard corner. I did a very slight fender roll with a heat gun and a hammer. And by very slight, I mean i only bumped the lip up a bit.[DOUBLEPOST=1410541579][/DOUBLEPOST]UPDATE: 9/12/2014

Been a while since I updated. Only a few things to talk about.

The car has been running great! I've been really tweaking my tune and have become very familar with DSMlink. So much so, that there are 2 other DSMs in my town running around with a tune done by me. My buddy Justin's 1999 GSX is a blast, as we are pushing his T28 at the track.

Have a bunch of pictures in this thread from an AX event. Check em out!

DSC08299r_2_zpsff7ac680.jpg[DOUBLEPOST=1410543232][/DOUBLEPOST]Also wanted to add that I made a "Custom Race Hood" for AX and track events.

Yes, its rough and some may say ugly. But I did it all by hand with a angle grinder.

BEST PART, it dropped my intake temps over 20 degrees! Which on our our hot 80+ days worked perfectly to keep the car running smooth and knock free.

Let me know what you think.

keep up the good work!

UPDATE: 10/15/14

We had our last AutoX of the season this past Sunday. The event was awesome! Among everything that took place, Wendy and I took FTD!!!!! (Fastest Time of the Day) We even beat the race karts!

My fastest time was a 39.27, the fastest race kart went 39.68 and the next fastest car went 39.98.

I was and still am completely pumped about this! I never thought id take FTD during an event.

My little sister took a video. This was my third quickest of the day at 40.8. I wish she would have gotten the launch better.

Dude.... Where did you get those reps??? I need some in my life again, but im not down to pay another 3k for them. Car looks badass

Great build man, any plans on going 6 bolt?

Thanks!! To be honest, I dont think ill be going 6 bolt any time soon, or maybe not at all. I really like the 20g right now and I know I can push it a bit further on my stock block. Especially now that E85 is more accessible.

There is a vendor on eBay getting rid of his stock. Last I knew he only had flat black and bronze left.

At first I was iffy on the look. Im a die hard simple 5 spoke guy, but over the last few months they really have grown on me. :thumb:

UPDATE: 4/30/2014

I fixed my boost leaks! Ended up having a pretty good one at a injector seal. I took out my stockers and installed my new FIC-750s. Tightened everything up, did another BLT and everything is good. Just have a very minor leak the the TB shaft.

Here is an updated engine bay picture. Its not the cleanest looking and I still have a number of different colors, but she works and works well.

IMG_20140428_183247_872_zpsr6bkcipm.jpg

I also ended up having my wheels delivered yesterday!
They were on sale and I couldn't pass up the price, 17x9 with a +35 offset is exactly what I was looking for. My meaty 255 tires are being mounted today/tomorrow and ill be throwing them on the car by the weekend.
