Would this http://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-1999-E...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d201f1b85
replace my whole 2g bov set up? Basically wondering if it was like a bolt on considering it comes with the ic pipe.
That wont be a direct replacement because the 1g upper intercooler piping is much much smaller than the 2g. On the 2g the BOV is on a plastic pipe that basically goes the opposite way, so this wont work for you directly. Something like this would adapt to a stock 2g opening http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mitsubishi-...Parts_Accessories&hash=item20d1207170&vxp=mtr

Or a hard piping kit usually has the holes for a 1g BOV. Although mine also had holes for a Greddy and I JB welded them shut to prevent leaks.

Did you search the difference between 1g uicp and 2g uicp? Or what's needed to run a 1g bov on stock 2g uicp? No but I'll tell you anyways NO different size pipes but the 1g bov will work with an adapter on a stock 2g ucip. Or aftermarket ucip flange for 1g bov. That's very expensive also you can get a 1g bov on our forums for 35 or less.

Like they said the 1g BOV will work but will take a decent amount of work. Just to throw it out there look into a crushed 1g BOV, you can crush it yourself just be careful.
In all honesty i wouldnt recommend anyone do that, it's too easy to screw up. I'd recommend this instead: http://www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_bov_mod.html You dont have to put the vacuum nipple part on or any of that, i just drilled the hole and left it. I have an automatic anyways.

So if you just left that hole drilled open wont you have a leak there and why does driving an auto make a differance

I meant the external port. I plugged the one inside the flange with a screw that I JB welded in and then cut it off and sanded it flat. The external port which leads to the bottom of the diaphragm itself is just open to the air.

You dont really need a BOV on an auto, its probably a good idea but not completely necessary (because you dont let up to shift)

Not sure what u mean by that

You drilled it out on the flange leding to that small hole in the bottom then u just plugged it so why drill it im so lost u have a pic because im gonna put 1g on my car and 20psi on my e316g so i need to mod it

I just have a question , I have a 97 gst boosting 15lbs as a daily. I have a full 3 inch Megan exhaust and recirculating bov. My question is , can I run an open downpipe without sacrificing my Megan exhaust? Also Im not really happy with my blow off sound. Im used to honda bovs that make the loud whoosh sound. On my last boosted del sol the turbo spool was loud and I had an aftermarket exhaust on it so Im wondering if I can get the same loud spool from my Megan exhaust on my Eclipse. Any help would be appreciated.

Would that give me the louder spool and bov sound? Im unfamiliar with the whole recirculating bov. I just dont want to lose my exhaust due to the price I paid for it and to have it put on. I just want hondas to hear me when rolling up beside them since DSMs get hated on by honda drivers.

Not sure how well that will work, I made my decision after months of reading around.
Since my car's maintenance is up to snuff, and winter is coming, it's time to upgrade some parts for next summer.

I got the 1g bov "3 actually, 2 are for sale shortly with gaskets" and the adapter flange from JM Fabrication, got an srt 4 autometer 20psi boost gauge, a Voodoo MBC, 10ft of 4mm vacuum line, 3 pod pillar pod to get my project started.

What I've read about most blow off valves of non name brand is they leak badly, and 1g is great stock, and with the dodge mod, 30 psi is right there!

How much are you asking for one of the 1gs? And what's the dodge mod? Sorry , I'm unfamiliar with dsm as this is my first. I normally drive built or boosted hondas. I have to say though my gst is by far my favorite car out of the past like 10 hondas.

Out of 10 Honda you been to, You prefer GS-T. Now that what I like to hear :).

I had a local welding shop make me a 1g bov flange. Only cost 25 bucks. Get some pipes and weld it on there. Very simple. Looks like you have a greddy or knockoff. I would get the 1g bov. Its a proven great bov.

[DOUBLEPOST=1412162995][/DOUBLEPOST]Is that a 1g? Its a guy local to me that's parting out a gst but I think it's a 97 like mine.
