I am in the middle of rebuilding the engine on my 2g GSX eclipse

The throttle body is all sticky and loose. And the engine is leaking like mad from the front and rear main seals.

So, while i look for seals and gaskets for the engine i thought I would see if anyone here can help me with the throttle body

Should I buy a new one? Refurbished? I doubt this car will ever have more than 300 hp so I am really just looking for a solid replacement for the old worn out factory throttle body.

Also, I think the same can be said for the BOV. The old one is a mess.

Any suggestions on new ones?

Anyone selling these parts?

Thanks!

Grab another NA Oem throttle body price should be reasonable and easy to get on off here, and just upgrade on the BOV....new Pshh sound would be +

NA? Is that a brand?

I had noticed that there is a BBK for $225 - it sounded well built in the description ...

Does it matter which BOV? or just any BOV that is not the OEM one?

By the way for the future out anyone else that wants to know n/a stands for naturally aspirated. That's all the non turbo cars, turbo and super charged cars have forced induction.

So then since my car is a turbo car - would I want a turbo throttle body? Whats the difference?

The n/a throttle body alleviates the need for 2 gaskets, as it has a pipe flange instead of a flat face. Essentially it deletes the throttle body elbow, so you'll have to add in a 90 ell piece of tubing instead, to reconnect your piping. (that's what it does for a 1g, assume 2g is the same scenario).

Ah! Ok, that makes sense :) Thanks!

He is asking if I need new sensors for my TB. How do i know if i need new sensors?
