recently i have been experiencing a weird rattle coming from the driver side front wheel. it only happens when the wheels are moving and does it at any speed and any gear. as soon as i apply the brakes. the rattling stops. it doesnt rattle at idle or when im sitting still and rev the engine. only when the wheels are moving. any ideas? thanks in advance this is driving me crazy.

my cars rubber exhaust mounts cracked causeing a rattling when the car was hot took me a month to track down the noise wiggle your exhaust side to side when you hear the noise again

Grab some tools and start tightening bolts and double checking metal to metal contact, odds are like Nathan said, it's probably the dust shields, the bolt gets loose and the thin metal vibrates.

if it was the dust shield, wouldnt it be rattling all the time? and not stop when i hit the brakes?

tKr did you figure out what it was? If it's brake related you should try to get it fixed as soon as possible, don't want it to cause a bigger problem.

Check wheel bearings might b bad
If it's the wheel bearing it'll most likely make a humm sound, and it'll get louder when you transfer weight to the side that's bad.

Alberto are you new to the site? I see that's your first post. You should put up some pics of the talon in your avatar if that's yours. Looks good but it's hard to see. I like that color a lot. Fill out your profile

Another possibility is the pad thin indicator spring is rubbing on the rotor which sometimes disappears when brakes are pressed. Of course it may also be wheel bearing as previously mentioned.

its not pads. i replaced the pads thinking thats what it was. doesnt sound like a wheel bearing. it sounds like a light rattle, almost like a loose heat shield. the only bad thing is im not aloud to work on my car at my apartments so i have to drive 45 minutes to my buddies garage to do any work. ill head out there this weekend. would it be a bad idea to jack up all four wheels and start the car and put it in gear to try and pinpoint the noise?

I've done that before using 4 jackstands. just make sure noone is standing close to or in front of the car while you're doing it. give the car a little push and pull to make sure it's stable before you start. dont make any sudden jerks or movements. I guess some people will tell you that's a bad idea but I say do what you want and just be smart about it, you'll be fine.
