Thanks for the words of encouragement! I'll be honest... not really looking forward to taking that trans out again. Hoping the new one will act better and last longer than two months.
Oh, for the heck of it here's a few photos from the weekend.

I like that last picture with the car sitting sideways on the track! :thumb::cool: What is that in the background with the steam/smoke coming from it? A nuclear plant? Almost looked like a tornado at first glance.

Update!

Clutch went in Saturday. Was able to get that trans out and back in that day. Which was a great feeling. Found that the Kevlar disc was toast, so that's why it was slipping. Not sure what caused it to fail with so little miles on it, though. Everything was adjusted per the FMS and book, and nothing seemed out of place. Checked the flywheel step height, and that was also within acceptable limits. So not sure what happened.

The car now has a full ceramic disc, as well as a new PP and TOB. Might as well start off with all new stuff, as not sure what part was originally the problem.

So here's to hoping that it holds for the shootout!! :)
Attached are some photos showing the old parts, as well as the new parts that went in.

Glad to hear you got the trans in and out with no problems. I'm sure you'll be good to go with the new full ceramic disc. Good luck with it at the Shootout! :thumb:

Aww, bummer!! I loved seeing yours last year! What's wrong with it?

I did take it for a test drive today... I think Tim was correct in thinking the pressure plate was the problem. This clutch is a night to day difference from the last one. Car doesn't fight me for gears, and it is super grabby. However, it only has a few miles on it. LOL! I have to do some driving before next week!!

You're going to love the ceramic disk, it's pretty sick. I barely broke mine in, maybe 600 miles and it hasn't came close to slipping...I can't believe how much power it can hold while keeping the stock pedal pressure. You won't be disappointed.

Good to hear! Honestly, I am really apprehensive right now because of how the last one did not hold up at all. But it seems people have had good luck with the ceramic version. So trying to be optimistic. :)

Well, the clutch issues are fixed! :)

Ran it at the shootout last week. I royally messed up at the autox, which hurt my chances of even getting in the middle of the pack for max effort. Ah well. Always next year! I was able to clock a few low 12-sec passes during the drag racing section. One was a 12.1, and a 12.06. So it's right back to where it was last fall! So now, going to play with the tune a little, as keep practicing driving on the 16g for the rest of this season. I DO PLAN on running the FP Green XL next season. This will happen. :)

Attached are a few photos from the event.

I think what you did to the car was a great idea and well put together. I do myself have a eagle same color as well, where did you get those rims at and what kind and size. I am thinking about doing that style of rim on my car.

Thanks! :)

They are Motegi traklite's. Just 16X7. I was looking for weight reduction, so didn't go big. The tires are 225/50/r16

Awesome, I was also wondering what was under your headlights where the fog lights were. It gives that car a nice look, is it like a radiator or an air filter and what brand is it.

Thanks! It is the car's front mount intercooler. I had it anodized black, since I wanted it to be blacked out.

Cool could you do that on the stock front bumper or did you have to get another one.

Well, was able to get another 11 out of it. then started having clutch issues again. *sigh*
Hoping it's something stupid and not another bad clutch.

Here's a video of that run:
[DOUBLEPOST=1411483272][/DOUBLEPOST]Found a photo of the car from IFO's site.
So disappointed about the clutch thing.... the setup is changing for next season, so I think I'm just going to look into a twin disc clutch for the car. Hopefully that will take care of these issues. I was just hoping to be able to back that 11 up. Car was feeling pretty good!

Going to re-adjust that. It's possible it's not. Just kinda strange that it was fine, then all of a sudden it's not. But its worth re-checking. Thanks!

Currently working on plans for a new bottom end, and clutch setup. It is parked for the winter.... :(
One more sunset photo:

I actually took the cover off the car, put fuel in it and drove it 2 miles.

Guess it's officially out of hibernation!

Now to order... yet another.. clutch.
