Well my cruise control for some reason stoped working so i said F it dont care to find out why ill just delete it! Yes i onow there is a non cruise cable you can by but as all of us are dsm owners im a cheapskate . So i decided i would make this work for free! So i pulled all the cruise parts out and was trying to find a way to do this. After i pulled everything apart i ay 1st was thinking the pre-existing cable that went to the pedal would work by its self well i was wrong. So next i thaught what about the cable that originaly went to the throttle lever, as it already has the bracket for the intake manifold monting. I took off the part that went to the pedal and took it out made 1 cut along the yellow clip that holds it to the pedal (pic 1). I made the cut so i could slide the cable out and placed it on the end of the cable i planned to use. I then i made a very small loop with the cable under the intake and ran through the firewall (dont do this). Instead take the part that boltsto the fire wall so you can mount it but just a flat plate (pic 2). Then simply either weld on a nut or jb weld a nut on. Dont use a new nut just the one that is on the cable your using because the barrel at the end of the cable will not fit through the nut. Now all you do is thread the metal slead of the cable into that nut and use the second nut to tighten up to that other nut and it cant go anywhere. Bam you have your non-cruise cable for free with very minimal modification.
Now that i know how to do it i dint see why it should take any longer than 30mins!
