That's it. It's still setup with 'lean cruise' mode!

I think he said around 50mpg average on a tank...Don't quote me though.

Heading to the track on Wednesday with this car. Picked this up from Dave W. (pneumo). 325k+ miles on it and running strong. Mild setup...basically a 14b with full exhaust, suspension, slicks, fuel pump and tuned at about 17psi on 91 octane. Also has a few upgrades to the transmission and clutch. Weight reduction is just rear seat along with trunk area stuff removed. Hoping she'll dip into the 12s!!

Nice pickup..... Get it ready for the last Cmi race

Doubt I will go. Leaving to move to the east coast Nov 1. So I will have a ton of other things going on. And if I did make it, it would be just for more seat time...same setup.

Nice. Hope you can make that Justin! I am going to look into trying to go, but I highly doubt it this point.

Well, I had a lot of fun racing last night. If I make it out again soon, I will spend more time on the launch instant of bracket racing.

Here is the rundown on the car's short mod list: 14b mildly ported, 2g ported manifold, E3 ported o2 housing, full exhaust w/ high flow cat, dejon mbc, dejon turbo outlet pipe, stock maf w/ paper filter, adjustable coilover springs with rear koni yellows, Bogart wheels with slicks and skinnies. Has upgraded clutch as well. The car is tuned @ 17psi peak on 91 octane. Weight removal is power steering, a/c components in the engine bay, trunk stuff and rear seat. All rear seat plastics, front seats, door panels, crash beams, radio, etc still in the car. I think the car did really well for its simple setup:

60' - 1/8 E.T. - 1/4 E.T. / MPH

1.896 - 8.137 - 12.686 @ 107.26
1.815 - 8.097 - 12.689 @ 105.77
1.738 - 8.005 - 12.594 @ 105.64

I think I hurt myself by lowering tire pressure after the first run. I dropped from roughly 9.5 to 8 psi. As you can see, the 60' time from the first to the third run is -.158, yet the E.T. difference was only -.092, so it was losing more going down the track. That said, I am very happy with the results and am trying to make time to go back once more before I leave to see if I can run any better!

No vids. I will post the slips up later. My buddy was supposed to go and run his C5 ZO6, but it was tuned 93 from the previous owner and we have 91 here. I would love to be able to pull some weight out of the car and go back, but again, I don't know that I will have time!

And I agree with you. I am not saying I'm a great driver, but I feel I am a decent driver, and that's one 'mod' you can't always make by yourself.

Nice runs, Brandon! I can't believe you ran mid 12's with the stock MAF and filter, stock injectors, 14b and high flow cat. I thought for sure you'd swap in the non-cat pipe I gave you. Plenty of power left in that setup.

I sure would like to see one I you folks run in Denver some day. It could not be more ridiculous to try and go fast here.

Not sure if there is an easy way to do it, but can we get the top 10 list copied back here at the end of the thread...or make a list of just the top 14b times in a different thread so it's easier to get to instead of look through 100+ pages?

I tried to get a mod to put it on the first post at one point, but that was quite some time ago. It does become a pain to re-list it constantly, or scroll through pages trying to remember where the most updated on is at.

I think my last update with the photo's is at the link below.

I can do lodging and some food I guess. We have a room we never use.

Nah, nah, we want to see how fast these cars really are. See what we are doing wrong. We have a beautiful state to explore to make the trip worth your while.

Lol...or you could come down to sea level and see how your car really runs!

I have done back to back racing at wall drag way in Texas actually. The car was a second faster.

I have drag raced in Vegas, Virginia, Maryland, Texas, Arkansas, California and Ohio and the cars always seem to do well. 5800ft, not so much.

I have land speed raced in Utah, Texas, California and Ohio. Again, the cars do well. The salt flats in Utah at 4200ft, not to mention the natural surface, so that one is always tough.
