Hello dsm community. I'm currently debating on going down this upgrade path for my daily driver car.

Mods i have now are
Extreme PSI intake with k&n filter
Megan Racing 3" exhaust
Forge Motorsports BoV
Ported o2 Housing
Boost Controller and Gauge

Im looking on buying all this real soon as im pretty new to this stuff id just like some input

Evo III 16G Big Turbo...849.99
Install Kit...199.99
Punishment Racing FMIC...362.72
Injector Dynamics Fuel Injectors 725cc..480.00
WALBRO 225 lph high pressure pump with install kit..95.00

Is that a good upgrade path for me id like to achieve around 350-400hp in the long run. Can anyone tell me the gains id be getting from all this?

Thanks alot.:thumb:

Any idea of the gains id be getting? and what exactly do i need to tune? Like everything, im not to sure on tuning.

You'll need fuel pressure regulator for your fuel pump as well as something to tune with such as DSMlink. I would also highly suggest getting a wideband 02 sensor so you can monitor your air/fuel ratios.

Thanks for your input! In what order should i get all these upgrades?

DSMLink--Tuning always first. None of the other stuff will work right with out it
Wo2-- again Tuning.
Fuel Pressure Regulator $150- Once tuning is done then you can start regulating fuel
WALBRO 225 lph high pressure pump with install kit..95.00
Injector Dynamics Fuel Injectors 725cc..480.00 (for this price you have, id look at some PTE 1000s, you can dial em down to stock with dsmlink and have room to grow)
Punishment Racing FMIC...362.72
Evo III 16G Big Turbo...849.99 (Not sure where your looking at. But Forced performance has this for $700, or spend 50 bucks more and get into the 71hta. Wont need a J-pipe then or a install kit)
Install Kit...199.99 (im not sure what this is refering to. There are A LOT of bolt on options out there.)

Personally Id do some more looking around. Your prices on some of this is on the high side. Id look around for some better deals. just my $0.02

Personally, I always start at ebay. Just make sure that you really read everything before you make a purchase. After awhile you get a feel of what things go for and then its just looking to save some change here and there. Extreme PSI is a good site and for some thing Street Tuned Motorsports is good too.
Also check the classifieds. There is people all the time parting out their cars.

Thanks a lot bro

Check out the prices on these 16g's:

Big 16g/ evo3 16g, Basically brand new - DSM Classifieds

16g, 3" O2 housing, tial 40mm,FIC650/850 - DSM Classifieds

I found my rebuilt genuine evo III 16g for $350 a while back. Just keep an eye out in the classifieds and help out a fellow DSMer.

JNZtuning, street tuned motorsports, road race engineering, modern automotive performance, and extremepsi are my favorite sites to shop at.

As for an install kit for the 16g on your 2nd gen, basically all you really need is a stainless oil feed line (you can use an oem 1st gen feed line and get the oil from the head instead of the oil filter housing), a j-pipe and gaskets. A simple search of "how to install 16g" will teach you anything you need to know.

Look into getting a VRSF fmic, they can be found for as low as $290 when there's a group buy and a ton of ppl on this site love them.

As far as tuning goes ECMlink is the way to go. There's plenty of videos and how-tos to get you jump started in using the program.

Evo III 16G Big Turbo...849.99 - I payed $200 for mine do some research you will find it cheaper. You might as well get a new fp hta71 for that price.
Install Kit...199.99 - meh about right
Punishment Racing FMIC...362.72 - meh about right ets is the best
Injector Dynamics Fuel Injectors 725cc..480.00 - I got my 880cc for $100 you can shop for better price
WALBRO 225 lph high pressure pump with install kit..95.00 - meh that sounds about right.

Save up for ecmlink might as well get bigger injectors like 1000cc get cams and dont exspect alot of power unless e85 or race gas. Enjoi.

Thanks clip, i founds tons and tons of deals in the classified saves me like 600 bucks atleast man

can someone please link me up to the dsmtuners upgrade path tech article? I've seen it before, but now can't find it. I found the maintenance guide but can't find the upgrade path. Thanks. I've searched and searched.
