Now my first problem is that my cabin fuse keeps blowing. Its a 10 fuse so I stuck a 15 in there since I don't have a ten, but wasn't sure how dangerous that is. Next is that I have a 1990 Plymouth laser rs turbo and I have a fuse for security, but the security relay is gone. No clue why that's gone, but I'd like to replace it if it means a working alarm system. Lastly my rear drivers side panel will not stay clicked into the wall. Any ideas?

For the plastic panel you just need to replace the plastic clips. Old ones are just worn out. Should be able to find some locally. As for cabin fuse, Id say you have a short somewhere in the wiring. When did it start and have you messed with anything lately?

Then Id say you have a short between the battery and the fuse. Sounds like you need to pull the dash out and try and look for a short somewhere. Going to be a huge pain in the ass but least you should be able to find the problem and fix it.

>.> can't I just keep a 15 fuse in there? But seriously my security is now a bigger issue since fuse is covered.

You could but you might ruin something or over load the wires melting the coating and starting a fire but this is probably an exmtreme case. As for the relay, you could try a local junk yard or see if you can find the right one at parts store. Could also find someone doing a part out on here and see if you can get relay that way[DOUBLEPOST=1411093453][/DOUBLEPOST]Actually you should be able to pull out the heater relay and buy one that is the same. Those relays should be the same. A lot of them are and can be switched around. I just remember this because I was swapping relays around before to see if one was dead or was something else.

So....does that mean my car truly does have a security system?

Honestly i dont know. Take that heater relay and put it in for security relay and see if you get the green alarm light when you shut and lock your door. If it does then you have it and just need another relay.

I f***ing hate you. -_- now I need a heater relay. Damn plastic cover broke off relay. Tried my fingers and the damn thing sliced open my finger. Please tell me I don't need that heater relay

I don't really hate you. Just pissed. And on a scale of 1-10 how bad do I need it. Like car undrivable 10 or 1 drive away?

You can get a replacement at the parts store. At autozone the duralast part number is 19829 . It is like 30 bucks though. You can get them from rockauto for like 12 bucks. I would assume that you could hit up a salvage yard and grab few for next to nothing. As far as having a factory alarm, it all depends on whether or not it has the control unit, and the hood sensor. Usually no hood sensor equals no alarm.

And get that fuse back to 10amps so you don't heated wire issues. Bet you have some aftermarket wiring done to that vehicle and a wire is touching ground.

I went to yards and pulled plenty of plastic body plugs (and fuses) and clips to replace the ones that were dried out in my vehicle.

Security relay is if you have a stock alarm in your vehicle in which you have none-same as mine. Early Lasers didn't have them.

If your blowing a fuse it can mean a short to ground or higher than normal resistance. I'm assuming that the 15 amp isn't blowing? If it hasn't something on that cabin circuit is suspect. Get a wiring diagram of that circuit for your car, find out what is on it and disconnect each one one by one. Also you need a volt meter to test the wiring so hopefully you wont have to tear anything apart.

I remember my 3g. God.....had it for months and randomly car thought I was stealing it so it went into the complete off mode. Then a week after that it works fine. Get home with window down and lock and shut. Realized window was down and put hand through window and unlocked. Woe and behold. The f***er has an alarm.....where was it months ago when someone stole my CDs? Any way. I also later learned that if the car was locked and I opened the hatch with the key. I was stealing. So had to walk to driver side door to turn off the alarm. Almost got arrested by a cop for that damn eclipse.
