So its a 98 GST - 2g bottom - 1g top
Hooked up both a high dollar and a low dollar scan tool to dlc connector. No dice, wont communicate.....idk if the fuel pump is turning on, but it doesn't have any spark for sure. Guy said he thought he heard the pump prime and we haven't heard it since...may have built up pressure already? Vehicle only has one ground for battery atm and all other connections are fine on positive cable to fuse box......so thoughts on the grounds not being enough have come up.
Looking for suggestions on things to check?
20 amp pcm fuse isn't blown..........all connections to pcm are snug..........FWIK its not uncommon for the pcms to blow capacitors...?
I know on some Hondas the dlc connector wont read if a power outlet fuse is blow....thoughts?
THANKS![DOUBLEPOST=1410869360][/DOUBLEPOST]Well I figured out some of the issue, the 1G cas harness that was supposed to be a plug and play set up was hacked into......the three wires which are supposed to go to the crank sensor harness were cut off the plug in connector and hacked into the harness and then the connector was connected to that end and plugged in......and pretty confident the ecm is crap. found a 97 gsx auto ecm for cheap with a guarantee.......I still don't have to switch ignition wires around - still obd2 - and this one came out of a running car......best of all now I have a pcm I can chip for dsmlink!
will update....still open to ideas!
