OK I have a few dumb questions here. I have a Evo3 16g on my car currently not ported, I'm suffering of serious boost creep ever since I installed my 3in turbo back megan exhaust. I kinda want to get into a tial external gate. Will this stop my boost creep or should I just port and polish this turbo? Any one who has any know how on external gates would be greatly appreciated. Also if I go external what do i do with the stock wastegate can I just leave it not hooked up or do I have to weld the flapper shut?

I would not go straight to a gate. First try getting a hiflow cat welded in somewhere and that should cover it. You won't suffer any practical power losses, it just ups the exhaust velocity to where it barely approaches backpressure, hence no significant power loss.

Yes I've ran both. No difference except sounding like a neighborhood jerkoff.[DOUBLEPOST=1410330635][/DOUBLEPOST]I would not go straight to a gate. I have a 16g and went EWG with punishment racing recirc housing with no problems holds boost rock solid. Just make sure you either cut out flapper or weld it shut depending on where you put EWG. Make sure if you go that route you get a good piece (tial, turbosmart, etc)

There's no converter on the car. I should have ported it when I had it off for a rebuild. I want a tial 38 mm but if I can make my internal gate worj the way it's supposed to I'd be fine with that, as it can save me about 500 bucks that I can be Saving for my link setup. Any suggestions were I can find an external wg setup for 02 housing and recirculation dump for a decent deal let me know.[DOUBLEPOST=1410458097][/DOUBLEPOST]Gate travel seem pretty good about 50 percent open. Wastegate actuater is good if I apply positive pressure it's starts to Crack open at about 7.5 psi and is fully open at about 10-10.5 psi

Well just take the turbine housing off and port it. There are a couple of good threads on how to do it. And it's not overly difficult to get the turbo out, weekend job if you start early and with a plan and right tools you'll be happy. Cheaper too.
