I have had the AEM FIC for my fully built 420a turbo and have been having a lot of problems with it. I am going to make the switch to Megasquirt 2 after hearing very good things about it and hearing about the capabilities. I was looking at the complete kits available and specifically the one from symtech labs.

I saw that its "for the 420a" and I also looked at the complete kit on diyautotune I am wondering what the differences are and other than the tuner studio license if there is anything else needed to run it in my car? Thanks for the help!

DIYautotune is another good place as well. The MS forums actually removed symtech from the approved vendors list. Supposably they have been having issues recently.

If you get it from DIYautotune make sure they know it's for the 420a. The crank signal decoder on the board needs to be set up a certain way.

Also if you have soldering skill an can read directions it really isn't that hard to assemble these. I built mine myself and have had zero issues. It was a very fun and rewarding process.[DOUBLEPOST=1410885796][/DOUBLEPOST]Lol just realized the op was from 2013 :ohdamn:

Dam I didn't even catch that.. I just clicked on unanswered posts, this was right at the top of the list.. :banghead:

Good info though, I'm wondering what is better about this system. Say you noticed increased throttle response, and/or more power thru out the power band, etc. Just curious about the pros and cons of it vs aem or others , if anyone cared to share.:hmm:
