Just picked up 2 power doors from the junkyard.

Passenger side went smoothly.

Driver side not so much. I've been trying to get the door aligned properly and have finally done so, but now upon installing the fender the door appears to be sticking out from the car too far and catches the fender when you open the door.

Anyone got any pointers or ideas?

The power windows work perfectly btw, just had to add the relay under the dash and 1 under the hood.[DOUBLEPOST=1410305089][/DOUBLEPOST]http://imgur.com/a/fZAK6

1st two pictures are of the passenger door.

Hard to say, but you might have pushed driver's side fender in a little. Loosen the mounting bolts and try to pull it out some. Also loosen hinges on the door (not on the car) and push the door in. If that does not fix the issue then examine the hinge area, it might be damaged.

I didn't have the fender actually bolted on in those pictures, it was just sitting in position. I tried loosening the bolts holding the door on the hinges and pushing the door in and back towards the rear of the car but it still lined up about the same.

I'll go make some more pictures in just a minute, I gotta get this thing going.. My truck doesn't have A/C and sucks gas LOL[DOUBLEPOST=1410366855][/DOUBLEPOST]Getting ready to give up on this car and send it to the scrap yard. Eat my loss.

Looks like you might need to lift up on the front of the door. It seem the gap towards the handle is wider at the window and more narrow as it goes down. Also looks like the lower bolt hole that's not used is a bit off.

Might also be worth it to latch the door and then play with the mounting location and see if you can get the door lined up (unbolted) so that the gap looks right.

I really appreciate all the help guys, I took it to the local body man here and he's going to fix it for me Monday for free.

He said it looks like the door was bent forwards at one time and the actual frame/unibody is bent inwards.. He's gonna build it back up and get the door aligned properly for me.

Again, thanks for the replies!!

Were the Junk Yard Doors mounted when you removed them? Could be a bad hinge.

Yep, the junkyard doors were mounted on the car when I pulled them. The door opened and closed nicely, alignment seemed fine. I couldn't find a reason for that 2G being in the junkyard, other than the valve cover being removed from it. Maybe someone blew the motor in it, I don't know. Body man told me to bring the original hinges as well.. I'll post some pictures when he's done. It'll be Monday when he does the job.

Any guy who uses a bow instead of a gun gets a thumbs up in my book!
I'll keep my comment to myself what I think about gun hunters... pu..ies :)

I have brackets and a strut on each of my door for the lambo style kit, I need to weld the brackets as they keep coming loose no
matter how much locktite I use. Care to share a before and after picture of his work ? :)

Today's the big day, dropped it off at 7:30 this morning, can pick up after lunch. I'll post before and after pictures of his work this afternoon. :)

Did the shop ever fix the problem?

I'm wondering this too. My door is doing the same thing. I think the hinge on the door's side needs to be loosened and pushed in. It hits the fender when I open it.
