Hello Guys ! Its time for me to change my Struts / Springs

Since I won't Autorace or Drag (Its my Daily Driver) and I'm on a *budget* I was thinking about getting the combo:

KONI STR.T Street Shocks (Orange) + TEIN S.TECH LOWERING SPRINGS. What do you guys think ? Will it be able to handle the lowered spring without breaking ? Also, do you recommend me other set of Springs ?

Also, an even cheaper option would be the KYB GR2 + Some springs. How would it compare with the Konis ?

Thanks !!!

I have kyb on my 1g and I think stock springs but even on lowest dampener setting numb feel awful. But it does have powerful cournering. And this is daily driving. Just slightly illegally enjoying the roads. Lol

You didn't indicate what Tein springs you were thinking of, but they're all softer than stock anyway so it doesn't really matter. Based on my internet research, the STR.T.'s rebound is essentially the same as the lowest setting on the Sport, with slightly increased compression as well. That being said, the GR-2's should work just fine as well. However, you can get the STR.T.'s right now for as low as $62 each and Koni >>>>>KYB.

I had tein s techs on my car for a little before I got my coil overs. I really liked the smooth ride. I still have them if your interested in a set used for a few months.

I have the Orange Koni's and had eibach pro kit springs on my 2g.. with the combo it was a good ride.. at 120 the car just squatted and hugged the road.. The car sat with aftermarket bumper just about 2-3 inches from the ground.. Looked good drove good as long as you dont have alot of dips and what not you drive on. I just pulled the eibachs off and replaced them with just a 1.5 drop spring.. raised the car up just enough i dont scrape on road imperfections..

But the koni's will handle lowered springs just fine... I'd sell you my eibach springs I just took off but im looking for about 200 for them as they werent used that long on the road..

with my koni's and eibachs the tires actually tucked just under the fenders...

Thanks @RamenPride ! But I found something very STRANGE in this ad... Why ECLIPSE 96-99 and not 95-99 ? Didnt know there was a difference LOL ! Do you have any idea why?

They probably just messed up the ad title. If you go to the Koni websit, you'll see that the part number for the fronts is 8050 1078, and 8050 1127 for the rears.
