You don't mind spending money much but aren't going with ECMLink? What is your goal for this?

Grab a $5 palm pilot off of ebay and build your own cable, you will be logging for ~$20.

Don't spend big money on a kit, you can do it cheap. I got two palms with cable for $9 on ebay. The mmcd software is free online, the cable cost me 12-15 bucks to make and you can find everything you need for it at radioshack. Just read up a bit and once you make one you will be glad you saved yourself 100 plus dollars.

Laser has the cheapest route but you can never go wrong with link. Just due to the massive amount of tech support available, and the ability to actually alter things. Its a LOT more than 20 bucks tho!
