Alright guys, dropped the car off at my Tuning shop, Brutal Speed and Tuning, in Hickory, NC. I had a lot of wiring fixed under the hood because of an issue, but that issue still exists. When the VSS is plugged up, the car will not get spark whatsoever. However, if I unplug the sensor, the car starts right up and runs.... while it's running I will hook back up the VSS plug, and the check engine light flashes a few times, kinda like it's grounding out or losing power, and then the car dies... and won't start back unless I unplug it again. I've searched for a short in the wiring, and even had it sent off to the shop I mentioned above, and had the wiring checked, soldered, heat shrink.. Anybody else ever dealt with this? And no, the coil plug isn't switched with the VSS plug.

I would pull up a wiring diagram and specs on the VSS. Sounds like you have a short some where and the vehicle thinks you have a type A misfire (flashing MIL, damage to catalyst imminent). Test the resistance on the VSS just to verify that's not bad. Hope you can resolve this. For now, keep it unplugged til you figure it out
