Yeah... So, I can't make this stuff up.

I'm driving from my campus garage today and while stopped at traffic I have my window down. A campus police officer comes over and points at the hump in my hood and says "nice illegal hump" I thought he was a car guy and just messing with me so I just laughed and said thanks.

Then I realized he was actually serious. He claimed he knew that I put the bump in my hood to fit the turbo and said nice touch with the "internal BOV" but that he could still hear my turbo and it was an illegal modification. When he said this I kinda just looked at him like he was an idiot and then the light was green so I drove off...

I know it sounds kinda incredible but it happened. And he was serious, my friend works with him as a police intern and he said he was asking about my car after I drove off.

All my humps are turbo humps. I go for 10 seconds or less.

Unless if this rent-a-cop is in his 60's +, I am sure that he has seen the first fast and the furious or has played some old video games where the 2g's where everywhere. Hell they still had a 2g in forza2 even (don't know about the later ones).

You're talking about a local cop. This isnt a federal agent(or a remotely educated person for that matter). These guys dont have to be the brightest to get the badge and gun, which quite frankly is scary IMO. Nevertheless, he's just an idiot. But seriously, next time you should pop the hood. Point at the cam gear cover and go "yup, there's the turbo. Aftermarket mod. The Nitrous is right there(point at the brake reservoir or something)"
Tell him about how your manifold pressure can get so high at times, but its completely safe since your laptop will warn you. And that thank god you've never went too hard on it cause it could blow the passenger floorboard out.

Just f*** with him a little, but not too obvious. if hes that dumb set up a gopro and tape it. I wanna see it, betcha he'd fall for all of it.

how stupid...I'll bet he's just an underpaid, frustrated, dsm hater with nothing better to do then get a job baby sitting them at stop lights, he's likely just trying to be a smart-Aleck only this one case would take a place in the dsm epic knowledge fails hall of fame...and from a lawman no less...but this makes one wonder how many people he has written stupid citations for at the lights the officers like "UM mister your hood bulge is an obstruction to camaros and mustangs everywhere, because of it they can't enjoy seeing over your hood to look across the street at the ducks in the pond, and Ive received complaints from parents groups about this too". .

Sounds fake but it wouldn't surprise me if its true. Two words campus cop makes it likely. At work we have armed security and several of them aren't the brightest bulbs. One of them was told by management to lay off the super cop bs pestering the employees or get fired. The dumb azz would come out of the guard shack as employees were swiping in and tell them they were being warned for speeding. He even warned the plant manager. I helped build the guard shack and they have nothing to clock anyone. Some of the truck drivers bringing in supplies also complained. Just an idiot that thinks they have some power. The funny part was one guy I work with can be a total azz and when he got warned he told him to F off and spun out.

Another thing is cops will make up anything "suspected" to give them a reason to check you out.

I was down at the beach one day and let my HKS bov go off in front of people when i was driving. 10 secs later i was pulled over for spinning my tires thats right spinning my tires. I even show the stupid ass cop what it was he says nope it was your tires.

I went to court made a video of my tires which are nt 555rs and those bitches dont spin at low speeds unless you are slamming the gas. And a video of of the bov. Needless the say the stupid ass judge didnt believe me either 500 dollars later with court fees and ticket I felt like the guy in sixth sense. I SEE STUPID PEOPLE.

I seriously would have loved to been at the mitsu factory when they got the first rolling chasis done, and everyone was standing around and they go to close to the hood and SMASH!! The cam gears get clobbered and it puts a big dent in the hood. Then everyone stands around scratching their heads. Oh screw it leave the big dent!,, that's how I think it came into exsistence

Just like in my state cops love giving loud exhaust tickets,but if you read up on ticket, it states car exhaust can't surpass a certain disciple read with use of disciple meter. Cops never use it or most likely don't have one. Ppl get nervous around cops n forget to put a cop on his place. Tell why he giving you a ticket without properly testing. He gives you the ticket, take the ticket and its definition tell prosecutor your case. If don't side with you tell you want reschedule to get a lawyer for this ticket along with opening a case to sue the cop for you time and frustration missing work and money you wasting for improperly issuing a ticket. They just want money . Happend to me last year with registration. Cops pulls me over for supposedly loud exhaust mean while car is stock. Give me ticket for giving expired registration car. I mistakenly gave him the old one had new one in the car. He want hear it. Went to court told prosecutor and his slick as told me no way cop can tell if plates are expired or not and you should gave him new registration the first time. I told him you want bring that statement you just told me to the judge cause the cop obviously new because he wrote when my plates expire on the ticket. He felt stupid and dropped the ticket. You go to court and try fight loud exhaust first look at your local law,second get your self a deciple meter test it more than once and if your test results are within the state requirement print them all out for proof on your behalf
