So I'm going to start the mod process for my 98 eclipse GS and I'm pretty sure I'm going to start with a new ignition coil with some new cooler running spark plugs
Eitherhttp://www.andysautosport.com/products/hks__50003-M35.html
Or
http://www.andysautosport.com/products/denso__IK20.html
Anyone know for sure which would be better? Price isn't an issue. Also can anyone tell me for sure if the stock motor for a 98 GS is the 420a or the 4G63 I've tried looking it up and haven't found a clear yes and no as to which it is. As for the ignition coil should I also upgrade the ignition harness? Or is that not needed? I'm also looking to redo the fuel system and make it an electric one so any good advice on which parts to get and where from will be appreciated. When I got the car all the wiring in it was a mess the people who had it before me had under glow which I had to rip out because of bakersfield laws (don't want my car impounded for lights) and I was wondering where I should go from there. Eventually I want to get my car turbo ready so I know I have a long ways to go. The mods it came with are custom exhaust, CAI, GREDDY headers and some suspension support bars under the car that do not look stock so any information will be helpful and I've been reading a lot of posts here and noticed a lot of people abbreviating which is fine but some of it just flies over my head but otherwise any help is welcome. I'll get some more pics and upload soon thanks again

Stick with factory plugs, fuel system is already electric and doesn't need to be upgraded unless you get something to tune with.

Post a picture of your motor and we can tell you what it is. But most likely a 420a.

For lights just don't use them
They hard wired with no switch quick way cut wire seal positive and negative separately.
The right way and timely is start from light follow wires and uninstall were its connected. Seal that connection good, you don't want a short or wires contacting each other. I got ahead of myself. Have you battery disconnect when doing this to avoid any accidents in case so you don't blow a fuse relay etc. For coil I had used msd coil but when ordering must make sure you ordering the right one because they are two types. One has like an oval harness type the other is square. Even when go local parts make sure it the one that matches your connector.[DOUBLEPOST=1410268309][/DOUBLEPOST]No need change it unless its on its way out. I went with msd coil because by me it same price for pepboy or napa one. Plugs was ngk and plug wires was msd.
Like johneclipse said fuel is already electric. What are your goals for the car since you said you want to upgrade. Members can get more of a sense of where you're going and can guide you.

Eventually I want to throw a turbo on it but still use for my daily. I kinda want to keep the boost in the 10-15 psi range to keep it from wearing the engine quicker than it should. I know that I'll have to do a lot of internal upgrading first just so the engine can handle the turbo so any sites that you guys could recommend for parts would be great and I've already started checking out andysautosport.com. Looking to get between 300-400whp so I know a stock motor won't handle that for long. Kinda looking where I should start getting parts for first as I know that the turbo will be last as I need to get the engine up to speed first. Again anything helps. The cast already came with GREDDY headers, CAI, and custom exhaust all the way down. I'm looking to take it to the weekend drags also once I get everything installed and safe. I already know this will cost money that isn't an issue it's my project car and if there's downtime involved that's fine too I'm just not trying to blow it up. The car has 144,xxx original miles on it so I'm guessing a lot of things will be needing a replacement. Again thanks in advance for any help offered here. I'm new to dsm's but learn quickly so I hope I'll be able to help out in the future.

Ok thanks for the clarification and if the fuel system is electronic already any idea how to fix my gauge then? When it gets to about 1/4 tank it majorly fluctuates on turns and if it isn't on flat ground even the slightest incline throws it off
