Took my car to the dsm shootout last weekend, had some pretty good results. Car was breaking up the week before at the local track, which was pretty much the only 'testing' on the new setup. Made a 1/8 mile pass Friday night at the shootout to verify that it was fixed. It was, but the car wouldn't shift into second. Fixed that Saturday morning and went into first round qualifying. First pass went 1.41 60' 5.55@133 in the 1/8 and 8.48@171. Sat out the remaining qualifying rounds. Had a bye first rd, second round went 8.47@165, quarter final went 8.50@170, then went a new pb in the semi. 1.32 60', 5.43@133 and 8.39@164. Unfortunately hurt something in the transmission on that pass. Should have it back out in the next week or two.

Thanks guys. @Pipnorcali the transmission actually turned out to be ok aside from the debris in it. I sent the converter back to have it cleaned and one of the bearings in there is actually what failed causing the debris. Glad I sent it back now.
@lbz34 I don't use anything to really stage the car aside from the vacuum pump to help hold the car back.

What brakes? We are on brakeman pads all the way around, new drilled and slotted rotors, vacuum pump and have to grab the e brake and foot brake as hard as I can to keep the car from creeping at 4500 and 15 psi, yours just looks like it stops easy and firm. Guessing your on a PI converter, I am sure our Bradco is a bit tighter.

Stock dual piston front with brakeman pads and tce rear brakes. When I ran a bradco 4500 was about the max I could stall to.

I am using an AEM V2 and using the 2 step turned way down. The factory setting would knock all the boost out of the car on the 3 rd cut. I can get it to go higher on the converter but the brakes wont hold it and sometimes it pushes at 4400 rpm. Are you guys on a 2g trans and PI converter?

I mean the cut is softer than what the AEM wizard sets, even on the softest setting it would knock the boost out of the car on the third cut so I had to soften the cut up a lot the keep the car on boost. IT is ignition cut and it won't even hold the rpm in neutral but in gear it is working very well. Going to try and set up a second caliper in the rear like we do on the V8 cars with dual rear calipers.

Ignition cuts leave a lot more energy in the exhaust than fuel cuts do. When I played with it on my car (stock ECU vs MSD) it was the difference between leaving at 28 psi or 36 psi. Something to keep in mind.

Congrats on the new best Aaron, that is moving. So much faster than a year ago too.
