I'm looking at picking up some 16" hoosier slicks for my car, they were on some 16x7 enkeis.

I believe the stock DSM 16"s are 16x6

The slicks are 26x9.5x16.

Will these work on stock 16" wheels without any real issues?

Thanks

those are 16x6 wheels?
I've got the stock 2g swirls

Get some 16x8 FD rims. Your probably talking about the ones for 450 bucks.

I'm just looking at a set of used but basically new 4 hoosier slicks for $300 off ECMLink's classifieds.. It's 4 hours away though and I want to make sure I can use them before I do the drive and drop that much money.

No problems here using factory rims.

The 1gs are 16x6 and some of the 2gs are 17x6.5. So if I were you I would just go buy some new rims with the tires.

I have 16" stock rims with the QTPS. Been down the track numerous times and been 170+ on the street with no problems.

Did you have to use any spacers on those wheels with those tires? Or do they bolt on a 2g just like they would if they were some 225 50 16 tires? Also what suspension are you running? and are your fenders rolled?

So it looks like the tire companies only make 26" tall tires for a 16" wheel. I have a set of stock 2g swirly wheels in my shed that I would like to put slicks on for trips to the track. I'm on the 16g and plan on making around 300whp after I get the car tuned. Will the 26" slicks be too tall for me. I would like a set of 24.5x9.5x16 but I can't seem to find them anywhere. If anyone has some advice or a link to some 24.5" tires that would be awesome.

I've had great success thanks to Richard33 suggesting the Hoosiers. Got me into the low 12's cutting 1.7ish 60' on a small 16g, all mods in my profile. I got my friends old set of 16" rims but I think they are 16x7. With my setup and suspension where it's at I just swap the slicks on at the track and go. Havent had any problems with rubbing or anything yet. I believe Richard33's car is alittle lower than mine thou and remember him saying he did alittle modding to the knuckle towards the top to avoid rubbing.

Can anyone confirm using the stock 2g swirly wheels? I'm almost positive they will need spacers. I remember not having much room left between the knuckle and tire with 205mm tires.
