Hey everyone, I'm not new here, but I am returning! I have purchased a 93 AWD 5spd talon. She's got a 6 bolt in her. I bought the car after it was said to have skipped timing. The car came with an unknow FMIC on it, but it is missing the turbo. The car has no rust on it aside the hood. There is clearcoat peel on the mirrors and the rear hatch / wing. The guy i bought it from said he replaced the timing components already after it skipped timing..I'm not going to take any chances there.

Since buying the car a few weeks ago, I have done the following:

Purchase very nice black painted hood
Perform leakdown test to confirm head problems
Remove Head, and all the sorts
Head rebuilt w/ 3 new valves, valve job, and new seals

I Will be picking up the head tomorrow 8/20/14
I am purchasing a few things from a guy near by including: 14b, headlights, CAS pigtail, calipers, and possibly a set of 1gb wheels as a few of the wheels on the car are pretty bent.
I will also be purchasing around $800 of miscellaneous odds and ends to get the car back together including timing components, MLS headgasket and arp studs, and lots of other little stuff.

I have hopes to be around 2500.00 or so Total investment on a basically stock 1g AWD Talon...we all know how those car goals go though, so we will see :p

Car without new hood and headlights removed.

Thanks. Trust me I have my tools out already haha. Ended up going with revised lifters. And no, the grey and red tool boxes aren't my actual tools LOL.
