So this morning i go out to my car and find it was broken into last night (if thats what you want to call it) my door locks are differant key then my ignition so yes doors were unlocked thank god nothing went missing seems as if they were just there to look around i dont get it but anyway my radio knob was ripped off a recipt to my bank was found and left on the seat my usb phone chord ripped out of the radio tools scattered throught the car needless to say i was pissed

So anyway lets get to what i want yo know how can i find out if my car came with keyless entry from the factory otherwise im gonna go to a locksmith and have a key made for it but if it had keyless entry ill buy a remote for it

Ya bro you should have a keyless. I got my last fob from Mitsu years ago and it was only $38. I think the price has gone up a lot so eBay or another vendor might be better. There's a thread all about this if you search! I called mitsubishiparts.com and asked them what my fob should and they where able to look it up and find the right one, has worked ever since. Very simple procedure to sync the fob to the car.

I'm pretty sure every car came with the keyless system just not with a fob. That's how mine was bro and I have 2 95's both worked for me. Under the dash is the keyless system, I think that's where it is let me double check. You can always look and find the box if you want to know 100% I didn't think mine had it and I got a fob and it sync'd right up. Which was great because all my locks used to be jacked up from jerk offs trying to break in to my car. I couldn't even use the driver or trunk only pass. Lol

yeah i dont know where the stuff is located for it

If you lock the doors with the lock switch a green "security" light should come on and stay light for x amount of secs. you could also look behind the driver side rear speaker panel. There should be a black box for the alarm system. If all else fails, you could call the dealer with your vin number or take your registration to the dealer and they should be able to tell you. I got my key fob from ebay. When I went to the dealer to ask about the fob, they wanted like $200 for the fob and another $45 to program it.

Do you get a green light that says security, where the gauge cluster is, when you lock the doors? I'm pretty sure I remember reading you will be able to program the fob, If the answer is yes.

I don't even lock my doors. I'd rather theives gain easy entry rather than shatter my window or break my handles. The most valuable thing in my car is my gauges anyways and over the years i've learned that if a thief wants your car bad enough, he will get it alarm or not. Best thing to do is have full coverage. Just something to think about.

Push in the door switch and hit lock... you can do it with the door wide open, then just push unlock from the inside. I've locked my keys in the car on accident because the stupid door switch stuck, and by habit I hit lock on my way out while it warmed up.

Pretty simple check, even without a door key.

Or, roll the window down... reach in, unlock. Just another option to not lock yourself out while checking for keyless.
