So close to taking that E/T record as well!! Rochester, NY is on the map for building some of the world's fastest Evo's!!

It has been a long couple weeks! But worth it! I'm sure most of you have seen the build thread on the STM RS. We came off the Dyno two nights before leaving for the Shootout with a top HP of 947! She was spinning pretty hard, and was literally doing burnouts on the dyno, so the HP fluctuated, but still pretty solid around 900+

And off to The Shootout we went! And what a trip it was... and I won't go into major detail, but we are all very lucky to still have our body parts and friends. Austin's Vette did not make it... an exhaust was destroyed, a driveshaft was almost split in two and a transmission was swapped in the parking lot! As always with this community, it's just so amazing to see how willing everyone is to help each other!

Onward!

Strapped the RS down at the Buschur Dyno Day and we saw 909 taking the Dyno King Challenge for the day!

Emery laid down three good passes in the RS with a final best of 8.412 @ 177.18!!

Third pass out of a 5 day old build and this car is now the record holder for Fastest MPH in the 1/4 for the CT9A!

We are four thousandths short of taking the E/T record. And what an honor it was to do this in front of everyone at the 2014 Shootout!

On that last pass... the accessory belt shredded and got tangled in the timing belt.... broke every single rocker in half! But looks like the bottom end is good, so the head is already on its way back to Buschur and try, try again!!

The "Official 2014 Fastest & Quickest CT9A" List:
http://forums.evolutionm.net/drag-racing/680231-2014-quickest-fastest-evo-list.html

I know, I know... Evo, Evo EVO!!!

Worry not, next year's Shootout will include Eddie's 2G GSX and Cory's Eviltsi!! Winter build threads will be coming!

The 9.1 @ 174 showed the cars potential, but when it dropped those two 8.4's I knew it was for real! Emery gets a double :thumb: for his driving job. He got that thing up and moving like never before! :hellyeah: The car is perfectly done and is just beautiful inside and out with that white and purple. Mad props for getting it together and having it perform so well!

Here's one... I know David is working on a full out compilation video:

How does this car compare to Ricer as far as power? Does STM still have Ricer? I thought it went up for sale a couple of years ago.

Love the white and purple and how clean the engine bay is!!!!

Ricer has been detuned back to a stock frame turbo. No cage, no serious race car parts. Car still looks Mint but is not what it was. I believe it’s 4g63girl’s now.

That car is absolutely beautiful.

Side note, I saw Corey's fresh machine work at TW and it looks really fresh too.

Ricer still looks mint every time I see it Shawna really knows how to detail. That blue color is gorgeous.

Way to go congrats on that MPH.

Thanks guys :) The RS is on a whole different level than Ricer was back in the day. Ricer ran high 8's with HID's, full glass, and most of it's interior... the RS is just an animal. Ricer still has a built motor, trans, tcase, rear end... and so on... just a nice stock frame turbo though. Navigation, A/C, XM radio... you know, all the things ex-8-second-drag cars have :)

Wow now those are impressive numbers.

Super clean I like, DAMN thats a big intercooler!

Stock timing belt can handle that?! Why not kevlar? For that why not kevlar accessory belt LOL looks like it needed it, that sucks though, glad no block damage.

so no air filter on turbo? what if you suck up a bird with the jet engine LOL

I know all the drag cars do it but LOL

I was just going to point out the oem timing belt, is that used on all of 4G63's in the shop?

The timing belt didn't fail, the accessory belt did, and that ended up getting tangled in the timing belt. OEM belts are fine

Yeah, I got that, thats what the "kevlar ac belt" was about, if they make one.
So yeah oem timing belts are good to that power, crazy, so are the cranks though hah, good cars mostly.

Well, there's always the question of *if* the timing belt would've broken had it been kevlar...

Timing belt didn't break, it was still on there.

The accessory belt got wound up on the crank sprocket, between the sprocket and the timing belt, so the belt belt wasn't even really touching the crank sprocket anymore.

Its funny that you say that, I watched multiple people hit seagulls this year. One 8 second gtr hit one and it liquefied the bird and it fit between the hood and bumper mind you there is about ¼” gap there.... I helped him remove the guts, it was sick haha.

Sorry bud didn't mean to be spreading misinformation. I thought the accessory belt ended up tearing up the timing belt when it broke. Hence the busted rockers. Guess I was wrong.
